My Best Friend Forever As someone who lives his whole life with his own reflection, his own shadow maybe or his own conscience, I can tell that I am very glad to be a twin. Yes, I have a brother that looks exactly like me. He is my reflection that perfectly showcases how I look; my shadow that comforts me by being always at my back; and my conscience that corrects me whenever I misbehave. I am blessed to have a younger brother who were born few minutes after me. Because of him, I was never alone growing up. I always had someone to play with during break time and to sit with during class hours. He is my perfect buddy and best friend in good times; but also my most envied enemy in bad times. The truth is that every first day of school was a torture for both of us especially to me who often got the most number of negative traits such as being darker, smaller, and thinner than my brother. With the very sensitive, emotionally unstable, and immature heart of mine, all instances of comparisons made me felt insecure with my brother. I have promised to myself that I will look smarter, fairer, taller, and healthier than him. So to do that, I studied harder. I joined different school activities to gain self-confidence and self-worth. I practiced harder to play better in badminton and chess. I made friends with more people to create an allegiance with whom will agree with me that I am better than my brother. All sowing came to a harvest, I graduated from primary school as the top 9 while my brother was the top 11. I won! I won the battle I made without my opponent knowing it. Just a few days after, I was in a great distress. We changed our home address and transferred in Montalban. I’ve lost my friends and entered a new school and a new house. I did not have any allies anymore. I did not have anyone to support me in my own selfish and childish dreams except my twin brother. Consequently, I came to realize that my most envied enemy is actually my only true
