My best friends are all very different and hold many qualities, but most importantly keep me striving as a person. Sure many people can have many good friends, but you will know when you catch a shooting star. I 've had many close friends, even ones I considered best friends but only a few have stuck around. My friend Kayla is very close with me; we even consider our selves’ cousins. I have known Kayla since the day she was born, as our mothers and family are best friends since childhood as well. People even mistake us as sisters because we look quite similar. Kayla is very easy to talk to, hilarious, and always speaks her mind. I have always been a shy person so having somebody that I could easily talk about anything with made us connect very …show more content…
She is very relaxed, cheery, and creative I have known her since the sixth grade when she invited me and another friend over to her house. We instantly clicked even though she was quite shy too! Maria and I started discovering that we had a lot of things in common that we liked to do. We both loved to watch scary movies, go downtown Northville, and swim. She is very creative so we would always end up cooking some weird foods, building forts, or making up dances. Maria always handles crazy situations very well with her relaxed personality. She is always most of the time stress free, when I 'm with her I also tend to ease up and enjoy myself more. Maria 's cheery attitude is never too much but always the right amount of happiness that always manipulates my mood into the same. Maria and I never really have deeply connected emotionally but we still have such a great friend ship. With all of these components of her personality is what really bonded us together for all of these years. We still hang out and do crazy things just as we would when we were kids. Her consistency in her life has never changed and I admire how true she stays to her self. She has made me realize the need for balance of keeping a relaxed but cheery attitude, and to never live a boring life, always excite things up as much as you

My friends are very important to me and without them I do not think I would be where I am today. My second real friendship began in the middle of my freshman year of high school. I had been introduced to someone who later became one of my two best friends, Michelle Zabuska, by someone in my Theater class. Some time later, as a result to a major fight caused by a mutual friend of ours, I realized that I had to be careful with whom I trusted. It was Michelle who pointed out a quote from one of our favorite television shows, Felicity, that I realized she was my true friend in every aspect of the word. I started to look at my...

The sun gleamed vibrantly on August 5, 2008, but I did not sense the warmth as my thoughts were elsewhere. I was only six years old at the time and preparing to begin first grade in less than one month. As I crossed the threshold into the home of my best friend, I had a sensation everything would change. At such a young age, I was having to tell my best friend goodbye. Blake Basgall had leukemia and would not be around when I returned from vacation, according to my mom. That day, I had spent hours coloring a picture in his favorite color, blue, so I could give it to him prior to heading to my grandma’s for the week. Blake was my first real friend. He had a thoughtful and daring heart through all of his surgeries and medication treatments. Blake Lee Basgall would become an inspiration
She doesn’t know this, but she changed my life. She was there for me when it seemed like no one else was. When most of my friends were dissolving around me and I just didn’t feel like I could do anything right, she was there, and she made everything seem okay. It didn’t matter that I was inevitably going to graduate with a GPA a tenth of a point lower than I wanted, or that my director told me that he was disappointed in me because I just didn’t seem focused lately, or that my other friends just weren’t talking to me anymore. It didn’t matter because she was there and she made me feel safe. She’s my best friend, and I love her and admire her for so many different reasons.
I have a friend who I've been friends with since we were in kindergarten. We grew up with different beliefs, we went on wildly different paths in life, but we always let our bond be like elastic - accepting each other, not getting too rigid with each other, and not letting go of the relationship we have, and that has kept us friends,
Friendship: the most important part of our high school years that we cherish the most. Every good friend that has come into our lives, like footsteps that we encounter along a walk on a beach, leaves us with a different perspective of who we really are. The activities that we are involved in throughout high school introduce us to life changing friends. My freshman year, during track, I met one of those special friends. We ran the same distance races; together we shared that special bond as teammates. She's always been an extraordinary athlete, who runs with her heart, who I have always looked up to. At the district championships we were warming down together. I told her how she inspired me and that I felt that she was my hero. The next thing I knew I found myself singing. She made me stop before I could finish, otherwise she would have started to cry.
There are moments you create with your best friend that are unforgettable. Another thing is that friends can give you the courage to face your fears, and challenge obstacles head on. Peers can also become a part of your life forever. Those are the lifelong friends that will never leave your side, and that one peer you meet and end up spending the rest
Your best friends, unlike your social circle, will not only be complimentary, but will always give you honest feedback. Best friends are in contact with each other every day and both work toward their friendship goals to allow it to continue down a healthy path of friendship. When something serious happens in your life, your best friend will sympathize and empathize with you, and then help you figure out how to fix it and move on. Best friends will give you advice when you really need it and are honest about their opinions. Loyalty, honesty, and commitment are the top priorities of a growing best friendship. Friends in your social circle can not keep secrets from others, but you can confide in your best friends about anything and they know everything about your life: the good, the bad, and the
Throughout most of my life I have gained friendships and relationships with others that have turned into long term, but others which only lasted a short while. The friendship that has greatly impacted my life significantly over the last eight years is someone who means so much to me. This meaningful friendship all started back when I was in middle school, which has grown stronger over the years. I met Brooke in middle school because we had some of the same classes and were in homeroom together. Our friendship developed quickly and lasted throughout our high school years. We became really close our Junior and Senior year of high school. But, maintaining our friendship hasn’t always been so easy. Today, we text and call each other on our free time, but I know I can count and rely on her when I need someone to talk too. I call her my second sister and vice versa. And when we go home on breaks we see one another as much as we can. The best part of our relationship is that if one is in need of advice or in need of a shoulder to cry on, we are always there for one another. Keeping in contact is very important in our relationship and communication has played a key role in our relationship.

We've known each other most of our school lives, but we never really "hung out" together until the seventh grade, when we all went to Junior High. There, cliques were formed; the popular and the unpopular began to separate. Most kids joined in massive groups to eat lunch. But we found each other and stayed in our group of four. Why?...because with our small group we could share our opinions and be heard. In those big groups, it's hard to get your opinions out. Another reason is because we shared a common interest: computers and computer games.
When I was a young girl in elementary school I developed a friendship with a girl that lived a block from me. We began visiting each other’s homes every day. Having sleep overs, riding the bus together and even sitting with each other during lunch. We developed a friendship that couldn’t be broken. It didn’t matter that I was African American and she was Caucasian her whole family made me feel like I was one of their own. While I didn’t know much about anything and didn’t really know what family meant I learn it from her family. She taught me how to line dance and I learn to love his strange music that was peaceful and full of love called country music. It had a way of making your feel happy when you were down. We formed a bond and became best friends she was the only friend I had and I remember when her other friends came to visit I grew kind of jealous because I thought they would take her away from me and I would be all alone again so I became distant. She was such a great friend and for somehow she knew what was bothering me without me even having to say anything so she told me that it shouldn’t worry we will always be friends and it’s okay to have more than one best friend. She was so wise for her age I use to think to myself. As I grew older my mother and siblings and I moved out of town and I lost connection with her but with the increased technology like Facebook we have reconnected. I believe attraction played a major part on us becoming friends. Our friendship started on the school bus on the ride home from school. A couple of bullies started picking on her because of her freckles and fi...
