My Best Friend
Have you ever had someone in your life who helped you figure out who you were? Someone who showed you the right path. Someone who was there right next you even if you did not take that path. Someone who always seemed to be right, but never held it against you when you were not. Someone whom without your life would most likely be entirely different. I have. Her name was Jessica.
Jessica was more than my neighbor. She was more than my mentor. She was my best friend. Jessica lived three houses down from me when I moved into a new neighborhood. She made moving to a new neighborhood a lot easier. She was one of those people who was friends with everybody. She was friends with everyone because she was so special. She was always in a good mood, always had something pleasant to say, and no matter what was going on, she could get you to smile.
Jessica was a few years older than me but we were both young. I was in the fifth grade and she was in junior high when we met. She was tall for her age and practically towered over me. She almost always kept her long golden hair pulled back into a pony tail because she was a bit of a tomboy and liked to be athletic. But when she let it down and it waved in the gentle breeze, there was no doubt she was a girl. Her facial features were very soft, yet if you met her once, you would never forget her name. She also had the deepest green eyes that would sparkle so bright when she flashed her pearly white teeth, s...
Have you ever thought about who influenced your life? Like, what made you wanna do something such as a sport, or even the person you are? Well, I have a person who has influenced my life is “ Dot Richardson.” She is a great role model, she has done so much with her life. A couple ways she has influenced my life is she has so many people knock her down but she gets back up,she has accomplished all the goals i want to accomplish, and she turns negatives words or actions into positive words or actions.
I have known Paula Lahera for many years; however, our relationship really began to thrive four years ago. We both started at Harvard Westlake in ninth grade and having been at the same elementary school, knew each other well enough to strike up conversation. I knew right off the bat that we would develop a great friendship because I was able to recognize an intense curiosity and kindness in her that was welcoming for anyone slightly nervous at a new school.
She had also shown me how it felt to lose someone you love; it was my first family member that passed away. There was never a devastated or mad time after her passing; it's strange, but she helped me know that saying goodbye was not necessarily a bad thing. At her funeral my sister and I drew her so many pictures to put in her casket so we could make her happy since she was going away. It pushed me to continue to push through obstacles and try my best so she would be proud of me.
Anna and I spent many evenings doing her homework together for the two English classes she decided to take. One of her first writing assignments was to write a two page paper on who her hero was. She asked me to read her paper to make sure that there were no grammatical or punctuation errors and as I was reading her paper tear welled up in my eyes. She wrote that her hero was me. How my unselfishness to have a complete stranger stay in my home and to allow this stranger to have the same luxuries and experiences that I get in my everyday life was something she had never experienced before. She was grateful that I had "chose" her as a student to stay in my home and that she was very blessed to have someone who cared so much.
I met her in the autumn right after she had taken a terrible fall going to her mailbox and I was hired by her family as an in home aide. Her name was Jane* and she became a fast friend and provided me with never to be forgotten lessons that cant be taught within the walls of a school. Jane took the time to prove to me that I was worth loving and showed me unconditional love that at the time I couldn’t find. In the end all I have left are a few cherished memories, a pearl necklace, and some of the best lessons in life.
Since birth the one person that was always by my side except for my family was my Grandma. Once my parents needed to go back to work she was there everyday to watch over me. She took me with her every where she went and was proud to show me off and that she had such a wonderful grandson. My Grandma was around for all of my “firsts” that happened as an infant. I think that most of them can be accountable to her. I was never hungry since she always kept me full and when it came time to walk and talk she was there. A lot of our free time was spent chasing my old dog around the yard and petting the horses or going to the park. She was there every step of my infant years and through my younger years.
She helped me understand some of the things I had problems on, but not all of them. The next test I made a slightly better grade, but not what I needed it to be. I kept going to toutoring but the math just kept getting arduous. My grades kept getting worse and worse. The rest of the school year I knew just enough to pass. I was finally out of eighth grade.
She doesn’t know this, but she changed my life. She was there for me when it seemed like no one else was. When most of my friends were dissolving around me and I just didn’t feel like I could do anything right, she was there, and she made everything seem okay. It didn’t matter that I was inevitably going to graduate with a GPA a tenth of a point lower than I wanted, or that my director told me that he was disappointed in me because I just didn’t seem focused lately, or that my other friends just weren’t talking to me anymore. It didn’t matter because she was there and she made me feel safe. She’s my best friend, and I love her and admire her for so many different reasons.
She could explain anything to me and I would understand straight away. She helped a lot for my education and always was there to help. My parents knew that she could teach me and show how hard it is these days and how hard I should work. That is why they always made sure I saw her enough but it never was for me.
I have met many people so far in this life, but the person I enjoy remembering the most is my husband Jeff. He was born and raised in Tennessee. He is six feet tall, weighs two hundred sixty seven pounds,he has dark brown eyes, and such a nice smile. His hair is jet black with just a few silver and white strands throughout. He is a very big and strong character of a man. And yet he is the most gentle, kind and caring man that I have ever met. Jeff has a sexy southern drawl to his voice. The one person who has influenced my life greatly is my husband, the first reason being because of his positive attitude, his intelligence, and the way he expresses his love.
...e of the fact that he did not get to receive the higher education, he motivated me to go to college and become a better person. His life story not only inspires me to work harder towards obtaining my educational goal, but also to work in helping other people.
Have you ever wondered why your best friend is actually your best friend? Is it just because you have known them all of your life? Or is it simply because you just like to hang out with them? My best friend is as unique as they come. I have watched and admired his way of life over the past eight years. My friends' name is Mike Linn. Mike and I met in the sixth grade. He immediately stood out to me. There was just something about him that caught my eye. He had short messy brown hair as if he had just rolled out of bed and he was wearing a yellow Nautica t-shirt that glared at you as if you were looking directly into the sun. He had on a pair of cream colored cargo shorts and a pair of sneakers from Wal-Mart. He was the typical sixth grader everyone could imagine. From that moment on we have had many great and memorable times.
Good friends are wonderful. They're there to support you and to help you. They make you laugh and feel good. I'm lucky, I have three very good friends. Sure, I have lots of other friends. But these three people, I would take a bullet for.
Love is something that every person needs and almost every person falls in love to someone or something. Almost every person experiences the first love and remembers it for rest of his or her life. I can define the first love as when one person has extreme feelings for another person for the first time. First love is not something that we can forget. First love is one of the best experiences I ever had. My first love is my crush. An interesting thing was that the person I had a crush on also had the same feeling for me. I never thought that someone would have a crush on me. My first love is my current girlfriend, the gorgeous beauty queen Jalila. There were lots of nice moments that I had with her which is just a memory now, and I like to share these memories.
...mportant person in my life and I know that she will be always there for me with help, her love, and her care. She’s a wonderful person, she admires the beauty of life, and as a result she is always in a good mood. Now, like my mother, I’m a positive thinker, and I am a creative person who believes life is what you create it to be. I also know if I have to make any big decisions in my life, I can always ask my mom for advice because she has the wisdom and experience. I also know that she will tell me the truth even if it is not something that I want to hear, but she will tell me with kindness and without any judgment. My mother is my role model because she does so much for me; she gives me everything she has just to make my life easier. I love my mother and I am so thankful that she is the way she is. My mother is always there for me and I would do anything for her.
