My ambition to become an architect was ignited when I started watching a show called “How I met your mother”. The main character was an architect, and I thought to myself that was an aspirational career. So, I researched the discipline to have a deeper understanding of the skills and qualifications needed. As well as, I am in love the whole idea of how simple strokes and sketches can create such masterpieces in the world
When I started college I chose 3D Design, an obvious decision because it has given me an insight of not only architecture but also on product design. Currently in 3D Design my chosen project is to inspect the influence of Chinese and Japanese on architecture and also to compare and differentiate both styles, I have looked at architects such as Tadao Ando and Li Xinggang. I chose Graphics because I wanted to expand my knowledge of design which could hopefully help support being an architect. Finally, Use of Maths to improve my mathematical skills. I believe that this degree was made for me because it’s the only course that has ever caught my attention, my goal has always been to become an architect. I would often look at my surroundings and always think how I could transform,

That’s how we built an object whose purpose was to harm humanity, I think by doing that helped my group win the prize for best architecture influenced structure. The experience at UCL also recharged my excitement to become an architect, although it was hard work, I enjoyed every aspect. Working on a project and then the outcome paying off, and I think my competitiveness to be an architect even more because I want to become the finest architect. Since I also practise boxing, I am always eager to be the
When an architect is influenced they create. They make what they see in their mind. But people could always improve what they’ve already created. Homes at one point were only one story houses. But suddenly to someone’s mind they thought homes should be two stories or even three. Back in High School, most of my classmates wanted to become architects and they’d be asked how they were influenced to draw a blueprint like the one they had. Some would respond with “I saw this house that had this this and this and I really liked it so I put it into my home.” Meaning they would be inspired by a home that was already
..., as well as the management experience, to one day open an engineering firm, an aspiration sparked by my parents who ran their own small businesses. I hope to learn how to tackle problems associated with building structures of unorthodox yet sustainable design so that, as a structural engineer, I could bring to reality art that can endure tumultuous storms and dynamic humans. I want to build structures that in turn build the future.
Perhaps the reason I found Massimo Vignelli so fascinating was that, like me, he also showed an interest in art and architecture. However, I chose not to pursue a career in architecture, but ultimately ended up finding myself gravitating
My present interest in art is more graphic/typography based, although I do enjoy all areas of art. I have been designing graphics on my computers from a young age and have work published in national magazines. Not all the graphical work I do is computer based, I enjoy using traditional mediums in a clean graphical way, as I find it more satisfying working on a larger scale and producing something more "real". My current course has helped me "branch out" more; I have experimented in many disciplines successfully producing paintings, pastels and drawings, which I had never really developed fully before.
2. Aside from skill sets, what kind of information do you seek from 4 dedicated years of your life in an art major?
Over the last four years of studying architecture, I have seen the power that it has to shape communities, shape lives, and to create new ways that people interact with each other. The way architecture can help enhance living and allow for creation of new interactions of people is one of the reasons I find the subject so interesting. The way architecture can shape a whole culture and the way that the culture then in turn shapes the architecture is fascinating to me. Architecture is also not a static subject, it is constantly evolving and adapting with time to take on new forms, create new spaces, and to provide commentary on the history of our time on Earth. The depth that architecture has, and the evolution of the subject is something I have fallen in love with through my study of it. However, when I first started out studying architecture, I had no idea of the depth that the subject had, and it was an incredibly daunting realization; however, it was as equally exciting. I have always had a love for learning and architecture has just fueled that fire. Even after completing my bachelors degree, the learning has not stopped. I get to learn something new about architecture daily, and getting to say that is an opportunity I am thankful to have. It is not just about the learning however, its
of landscape architecture. This field interest me for several reasons. First, I have always liked to draw and design and growing up I always wanted to be an architect or engineer. I felt that engineering put too many limitations on creativity, so architecture was the path of choice. Then, after working with my father’s small business for the past 6 doing some landscaping and lawn care, I decided that since I enjoyed working with plants and landscaping that I might want to look into a profession that would allow me to continue to work in those areas. Landscape architecture seemed to be the next logical choice, allowing me to continue being involved in the landscape industry and also to work much like I would in the field of architecture.

Designing in any way is a career that I could say becomes natural to me because it all involves some experience in art and art is the basic beginning of it all.
The profession of architecture, the possible career as an architect, taking steps to gain a position and education as well as the set growth and prospects of this profession. According to Lee W. Waldrep (2010), author of the book Becoming a Architect “A Guide to Careers in Design, an architect is an imaginative person who designs a wide range of structures for buildings”(p. 2). These structures not only have to be aesthetically pleasing, but must also meet the safety requirements. Architects have to compete with other architects to attract customers by presenting designs. This process is generally based on building a reputation as an architect. Due to the nature and the amount of time devoted to designing, architects
Recent years have been challenging for the whole country and particularly for the construction sector and the architectural profession. Challenging times do however, afford the opportunity for reflection and debate about what is provided and delivered by the architectural profession.
Every person with a job, no matter what occupation, makes an impact on society in some way, shape, or form. Some people leave their legacy by defending people in court, some saving lives in a hospital, and others planning and building works of construction. These planners have a large-scale effect on everybody in society and have an eye for detail, as well as enjoy using mathematics to ensure proper construction. That is why I have chosen architecture to be my career. An architect is a person who designs buildings and supervises their construction. A broader view of an architect is a person who is responsible for inventing or realizing a particular idea or project. Architecture varies from the pillars of the Greek Parthenon, to peoples’ homes. I often find myself marveling over the design of large-scale building projects such as the skyscrapers of New York City. Most of these buildings belong to a myriad of well-known companies such as Chase and Toshiba. That is why I have particularly chosen to become a commercial architect.
Architectural engineering is a challenging yet rewarding career. Architectural engineers design buildings that not only look appealing, but also suit the needs of people and ensure the safety of those people that occupy them. The four to five years spent getting an architectural engineering degree is well worth it because it opens up opportunities. The opportunities are endless in the field of architectural engineering.
...on then come to my mind graphic design. I was influenced by Students which did graphic design in universities as I was keep researching, it was a fantastic as I have studied in GCSE Art & Design, Design Technology Graphics and A levels Applied Art & Design Graphics. It experienced to discover me that I found finally my deduction.
