I have many accomplishments that I would like to achieve but, my main accomplishment is becoming an NFL player. Only about two percent of NCAA seniors are accepted into the NFL. The NFL isn’t easy to get into because how long it will take, Maintaining school work, and obstacles that I will face while trying and hopefully succeeding in becoming a NFL player. Next I will talk about how long it will talk. (4) First, it will take me awhile to eventually be a NFL player. It will take me a while because I will have to go through high school first. Then I would have to go to college hopefully making the college team. Finally I would have to be drafted by a NFL team. Other goals I would have to accomplish my goals is by obtaining good grades. I would
Dreams come and go every night, but some dreams tend to stay for a lifetime. I have always dreamt to become a professional athlete in some way or another. Growing up I have always looked up to many different athletes. Whether it was Ladanian Tomlinson on the football field or Kobe Bryant on the basketball court I have always had some athlete that I wanted to be like someday.
Nathan Ross “Nate” Jackson, went to Menlo College in California, it is a small school with about 750 students. Nate was on their football team from 1999-2001 and was the star of the team. He went undrafted to the San Francisco 49ers in 2002. Then was traded to the Denver Broncos and was on their team from 2003-2008 (six seasons). He was not a high caliber player, but he was on the first team, so he got to experience what the NFL was really like. Nate, is also the author of “Slow Getting Up: A Story of N.F.L. Survival from the Bottom of the Pile.” This book is all about the NFL experience, and what it is like to survive in the NFL. So, when it comes to his credibility, Nate knows firsthand what it feels like to be on the bottom on the pile, and what it is like getting hit while in midair attempting to catch the
One of my future careers are being a NFL player (professional football player) I want to be this because it’s fun and you can hit and tackle people the responsibilities are show respect for team policies and understand your role. If you want to play football you have to go to college for two or three years or maybe more. The average
American Football is a huge spectator sport where offensive and defensive players will use teamwork and perseverance to try and score more points than their opponent. Football is highly respected in America, where boys will try and pursue the dream of playing in the NFL (National Football Association) someday; but if you look at an average neighborhood, you will find that kids and adults of all ages love to go out and throw around the pigskin. (Lerner and Lerner 275). One thing Americans will take pride in is the college and NFL football teams they root for. People sit down with a beer and talk hours upon hours of football and two individuals can get in a heated discussion in the local sports store of whose sports team is better. Surprisingly enough, one will find the most passionate football players at the high school level. Most boys will start their football career as a young child in football programs such as Pop Warner to get a foothold and to get those involved in teamwork and friendships. These programs are usually the start to someone falling in love with the sport and making it a career choice eight years later. Football is one of America’s favorite sports. When fall season comes around, people across America are placing bets, finding out where that new sports bar is, and buying wide screen T.V’s to watch NFL on Sundays. After their team plays, they will go out and reminisce what happened that Sunday. While thousands of fans are still pumped from the NFL games they watched; small towns across America are getting ready to shut down their shops and restaurants to have the chance to make it to the local high schools football game. Ray Glier, a reporter for the New York Times, writes about football in the small town of Appala...
The dream to strive as a football star can be achievable, but in some occasions, these dreams are miscarried. Boobie Miles is an African American star running back for the Permian football team, with an aspiration to strive for greatness in the football industry. It’s the triumphs as well as the defeats, that I will remember most about my life when I look back in thirty years. If I can look back and say, “I didn’t think I could ever accomplish this, but I gave it my all.” Pursuing the next challenge along with being a well-rounded, compassionate person will allow me to consider my life a success in thirty years. Nothing in my life emulates this attitude towards what I will consider a success, in terms of pushing my limits, in thirty years, than my current pursuit of collegiate level sports.
From a young age, my parents have always focused on teaching me to be the best person I can possibly be. Life skills, discipline, and good morals highlighted the long list of qualities my parents believed I should practice and aim to perfect. However, the most important thing to realize and accept, according to my parents, is that life will not always go how you want it to go, and that one can never dwell on the past. Being a football player, I had always heard that high school football was politically based, that the coach's favorite players would be given more opportunities than others. Upon hearing such assertions, I had trouble believing this to be true, that the best player deserves to start regardless of the popularity of the athlete. Despite my initial perspective, when I finally worked my way to a spot on the varsity football team, I realized that high school football was not what I thought it was,
Baseball has been in my life since I was a little boy. I've been playing since I could walk and haven't missed a season yet. I've been to many minor league games that are not professional but players in these leagues can become professional over time. I feel as if I am very capable of going far with it. I'd like to play all the way throughout college and hope I get noticed by a scout. Once I'm done with college if I haven't been drafted into the MLB then I'd probably try to play for the minor leagues in hopes of being noticed there. Ultimately my dream is to be drafted into the MLB and play professional baseball.
would probably wish to be an athletic star so I could play on any team I wanted.
I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person.
During my life I had some accomplishments. But, I will tell you the truth I cannot call them as my great accomplishments. At this point of my life I had the two greatest events. My first event was my high school graduation. The second event, which was the biggest and the most unforgettable was my wedding day.
In my life time I have accomplished many extraordinary tasks that I’ve put my mind too. I discovered that my signature themes have greatly affected the methods that I use to complete these tasks. People use their strengths in everyday life as well as in crucial, life changing situations. Important self-building achievement is one factor that makes people who they are. Another is the way that people apply there strengths to different situations.
Out of all the recent moments that have occurred in my life there is one that sticks out the most to me. This moment would be when my football coach took me to the Penn State versus Ohio State football game last year. The feeling of being able to see a big college football game was incredible.
The training and practices required to play professional football are intense. You have to wear uncomfortable pads and helmets and endure grueling practices in the heat of the summer and you have to lift weights every day (Green 174). You have to train no matter what position you play. What’s important about is how the position works and how it contributes to the game. Young boys must join high school football team, the road to football star begins in high school.
I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
