Whenever I touch one of the keys of a piano, my mind starts bringing out ideas of what songs should be played. Everything around me is blocked out and all the focus goes into playing music. When the music plays, I feel calm and focused. The only thing that gets in the way is schoolwork. I got my first exposure to music when a friend showed me a CD of a Michael Jackson concert. The passion that Michael Jackson put through his dancing and music gave me the desire to be involved in music. The only thing I'm afraid of when I play music is having to perform in front of large groups of people. When many people have their focus on me, I get very nervous and start to shake. However, in the future I wanted to be good at playing music since it helps me escape the stress of the real world.
In Saudi Arabia, the place where I was born and raised for 11 years, there's nothing to do there as a kid. My source of entertainment are playing sports with my friends and watching a Filipino channel that mostly shows family game shows and drama, which really doesn't bring interest to a kid like me. When I wanted to be involved in music, my parents made me take private piano lessons. I didn't like it at first because I didn't like doing things that my parents forced me into but I started to like it after a few weeks. Just as I was about to get used to it, we have to stop the lessons due to financial problems. Even though it was a short time, I was able to read music notes and apply them to the piano keys. However, I wasn't good enough to play the songs that I wanted. School was becoming an obstacle for me when I wanted to play piano. Homework always piled up and tests were keeping me from having any free time. After 11 years, me and my fam...

...lly important to me because I know that somehow I helped some person or family in Philippines. This also made me realize that life is short and unpredictable; you never know when and how your life will end. You should always appreciate the little things in life and the moments you have with the people you care about.
Today, I am currently taking classes required for my major Mechanical Engineering. I am also trying to transfer out of CCC to one of the top engineering UC’s. I no longer have the desire to chase a music career but I still want to improve my music skills and help people who are in need. From what I learned throughout my years of school is that life sometimes give you a lot of opportunities. It is your responsibility to choose which opportunity is the best and that you have to be determined to get over obstacles to reach the end of that path .
It come to mind how I can think about a question (how has music impacted the world) a lot of judgements/beliefs came to my mind. It’s moreover prove false or an agreement using this purpose problem.
Throughout history music has had a profound effect on a person’s mind, body, and consciousness. A song or piece of music can trigger vivid memories, and induce emotions ranging from deep sorrow to unabashed joy. Music can drive listeners to patriotic fervor or religious frenzy, or it can soothe the savage beast we call human. There have been many advances in technology that have let us study how music affects the brain. Music causes all sorts of activity in the brain, especially during musical improvisation. Music can tremendously help people with certain mind damaging diseases, and in some cases it can have negative effects.

It is clear that positive self-efficacy is a crucial influence on successful musical experiences. Fostering positive self-efficacy is vital to student success because music is a complex art form with many intricacies and it requires a great deal of personal self-discipline. Many of the studies that have been conducted on self-efficacy reveal that there are certain factors that
The science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity. There are several different types of music. People listen to different kind of music depending on their mood. It can help take stress away too. My personal definition of music is describing how you feel and putting it into sound.
Music is a epitome of peace and serenity. It should not be responsible for the decisions that people make in life. There are a lot of people who listen to different types of music and most of them do not commit crimes and live regular lives like everyone else in society. While the blame for violence in general is being shifted away from popular lyrics to video games, people are still blaming most of the problems on pop music lyrics. Some children do not even pay attention to the lyrics; they just like the beat of the song. Lyrics in popular music are not harmful to children, this can be seen through the benefits that music has on a person, because they help educate young children, they benefit people who are having medical problems and they act as emotional stimulates.
Music has always been an important part of my life. During high school I have developed areas of service and leadership through interests in children and gardening, which will continue to be major parts of my life.
My love for music has kept me afloat through many tribulations throughout my life. When I was younger I was fascinated with the concept of music theory. This love led me to play recorder, piano, and now guitar. I love the freedom that music allows one when composing an original piece. There are so many genres and aspects of music to choose that one can never be bored. With my music, I feel I am able to paint a vivid story of my life. As the notes carry my thoughts and passions, I am able to share my hopes and dreams with anyone who would stop and listen. I hope to improve my skills in the future and work on sharing my love for music with others. There's no better feeling than composing and preforming ones own
At the age of ten, my parents decided that I should learn how to play an instrument. In addition, they also chose which instrument I should learn, the guitar. I had no interest in learning the guitar, because all I wanted to spend my leisure time on was improvising my soccer skills. However, my parents believed soccer was a waste of my precious time, time which I should be using to focus on school and expanding my brain by taking on a difficult task, such as learning to play music. This was contrary to what I believed, but I had to do it or else my parents would be displeased. Therefore, the following week, I began taking guitar lessons.
Music is one of the most fantastical forms of entertainment. Its history stretches all the way from the primitive polyrhythmic drums in Africa to our modern day pop music we listen to on our phones. It has the ability to amaze us, to capture our attention and leave us in awe. It soothes the hearts of billions, and it is so deeply rooted in my life that it has touched my heart as well. Everyday I walk to the beat of the song stuck in my head and hum along to the melody. For me, to listen to music be lifted into the air by the hands of your imagination and float around for a while. You forget about your worries, your troubles and find peace within the sound. Every chapter in my life is attached with a song. Every time I listen to a certain song, thoughts of my past come flooding back
Throughout my life, music has always been a major influence. It has the power to change my mood when I'm feeling down, but the thing I find most intriguing about music is that it doesn't always end up improving your mood: like all forms of art, it imitates life, which is not always portrayed in a positive light. The musicians that I admire most have the versatility to induce several different emotional responses in the same piece. This quality is present in most of the wide variety of music I listen to, from Russian composer Dmiti Shostakovich, to Chicago jazz band Tortoise, to California pop/rock sextet Mr. Bungle.
Music is the third most important thing to me in life outside of god and my mom. Music keeps me balanced. Every since I was a baby music was played around me. Jazz was always played around me to soothe me. There would be times when I would be really hyper acting like I couldn't sleep, my mom would put on some jazz and I would be fine. A lot of times I can have a long chore and I say to my self how can I accomplish this, Knowing it will take me forever. So I'll put on some jazz music and in twenty-five minutes I'm finished.

Although money isn’t everything, being financially secure is very important. Money can’t buy love or happiness, but it makes life easier knowing you have a house to go home to, food in your fridge, and clothes to put on your back. My family had a hard time when I was growing up with making ends meet and I want to make sure that I do everything in my power to keep that from happening to my future family. If I apply myself in college and strive for knowledge, I will have the potential to become very adept in my field which will help me achieve my goal of financial stability because I’ll be able to keep a job. I also hope for my future that I stay open to new experiences, whatever the world may throw at me. I want to be able to travel and see new cultures, societies, and people. Hand-in-hand with traveling, I would love to volunteer all over the world, as well. I take great pride in doing volunteer work and it would be an enlightening experience to be able to help out around the world. Something else I am passionate about is music. I hope that I have the time and ability to continue on with my music career as my life progresses. Doing bands and music things at UWEC will help me to achieve this goal because I will learn immensely under great instruction. Going to UW Eau Claire will aid me in reaching all of these goals I have set myself. I am excited to see what my future holds for me
