Museum Symbolism

What is Symbolism? Symbolism is the use of any of certain special figures or marks of identification to signify a religious message or divine being. I am building my own museum called the “Museum of Mysteries.” If I were to set up this museum what are some of the items I would include? In my museum I would set up all of my prized possessions, these items are: a cross, my diploma, a pair of scissors, and a broken chain.

First, the crosses are a representation of Man’s evil and God’s mercy. When guest arrive at my museum, there would be a “Wall of Thought.” On this wall are paintings with hidden crosses in them from different painters. Each painting would have a random person’s belief in what the interpretation of what the cross means to them.

Under the picture of my choice, I would indicate that the cross means sacrifice, salvation and service. Sacrifice is that Christ chose to leave the perfection of heaven and live amongst sinful people. Salvation meaning he died on the cross for our sins. Service says he came to serve our people on Earth. Better known as the three S’s, something I learned in Sunday school.
Second, there is a movie room for my diploma. A diploma is a certificate awarded by an educational establishment to show that someone has successfully completed a course of study. This room is a movie room; it has a big screen with surround sound. The room would contain recliner chairs and 3-D glasses in the cup holder. Recliner chairs are for guest to sit back and relax, and 3-D glasses are for guest to fell like there in the movie. The movie that would be played is “The Paper of Struggle” a comedy and a drama. In this movie it would show how hard it was to get my diploma. It also shows all the good goofy times I had. In end of the movie it would show hard work really does pay off.
