Psychopathy and Psychology There are innumerable amounts of reasons as to why people become serial murderers-- or to purposefully and brutally dispose of one’s life. Some people are infatuated with the idea of pain and death; others destroy innocent lives physically because their lives have been destroyed metaphorically. The real question is: are these people actually born with the malfunction in their brain to murder, or are they made?
Murder has always been an obvious issue; an issue that we all wish would peacefully come to an end. Unfortunately, murder has been around for the past 430,000 years-- well… that we know of, anyway-- and it will probably continue to stick around for 430,000 more. Usually people interested in psychology to some extent consider this topic to be an interesting one to ponder and consider: are murderers actually made? The answer is, in fact, yes. Most reasons as to why people choose to murder include things such as: they may be seeking revenge or attention, they don’t fully understand the effects and consequences murder actually has, they have extreme anger issues, or they are …show more content…

Murderers crave power. Manipulation flows through their veins. They could also be surprisingly charming. The problem is, they look the same as everybody else, which is why it’s wrong to say that they are born with wanting to take lives. Everybody is born differently, but what is decided to do with our lives is up to us-- including the impact of our childhood circumstances, whether they be good or bad. What people decide to do with those bad and horrible past circumstances creates who they will become. If they decide to make the best of things, they obviously won’t be psychotic. Those individuals that dwell on it are the individuals that end up stuck in jail for years upon years, missing out on lives that could have turned out to be
