Each year, thousands of individuals from all over the world within the fire service flock to the Brayton Fire Training Field for the Annual Texas Fire Training Schools held in July. On the Sunday before each school, the annual vendor show is held to coincide with student registration. These vendors are given the chance to sell, demonstrate, and promote their brand and products to local and international firefighters.
The Marketing Office spends several months coordinating and preparing for these shows. Dedicating long hours to designing banners, signage, exhibitor manuals, and badges. There is also the task of coordinating and corresponding with prestigious clientele within the fire service. A few vendors that TEEX is proud to host each year

This year the Municipal Vendor Show is on Sunday July 24th 2016. The Municipal Vendor Shows have not always been this large. This show gained so much attention and demand that TEEX had to move the vendor show along with registration at the Memorial Student Center at Texas A&M University. Now with an even higher demand, TEEX has relocated the show to the largest available site to host as many vendors as possible. The vendor shows have gained so much attention that there are still waitlists each year for new vendors to attend. Apparatus vendors demonstrate and display their firetrucks and products in the parking lot and the floor of Reed Arena. Vendors selling merchandise are located around the concourse level and also fill up the Lower Level Gym Floor. All three shows are a success for TEEX. It is a collective effort from TEEX employees across all divisions. With the help of numerous volunteers from within TEEX as a whole, the Vendor Shows would not be as successful and rewarding without them. With the combined effort of the TEEX staff as well as the strong relationships with leaders in the Industry, TEEX hopes to have more successful years to come!
Some great changes are on the way to help promote and strengthen the success of the vendor shows. So you are a new recruit/rookie/probies. Well then congrats on your achievement of completing the fire academy training. Remember everyone was once in your shoes. When you are hired on to a department. The people of that department, you could be serving with for maybe 10 or more years. Firefighters are more than friends. You can't fight fires with friends. To fight fires you need a brotherhood. The men and women of the fire service across the globe consider each other family, this is one of the grand traditions of the fire department. Firefighters are constantly looking out for one another, thinking about the things they do and how it may affect the other’s lives and safety. Life safety is of the highest priority in the business of fire rescue. To achieve a safety standard there are many tasks that fire personnel are expected to carry out, for both a personal and a team related purpose. One of these tasks is the daily inspection of the fire apparatus upon arrival to the fire station. This task is with most certainty the most essential process that fire personnel are responsible for in order to get through the shift safely and efficiently.
However, the competitors run spot sales (not advertised) and advertised sales, which at the point of sale gives the impression that the competition is more competitively priced. More importantly though the competition namely Lechmere, Circuit City and the Wiz all carry lower range and lower priced items in each category i.e. 27" Color TV, Multiple CD Players, Camcorders, and Full size speakers, which allows the competition to offer customers cheaper goods than Tweeter, within each category. This creates a reference point for customers to compare against and makes Tweeter look (subjectively) more expensive to buy from.
I observed an IEP meeting for one of my students who has a TBI, traumatic brain injury. She just moved to this school district last year, so this was a follow-up IEP meeting to see how she was doing on her short-term objectives and overall goal. They also talked about transitioning her into high school, because she is in 8th grade now. The People who attended the meeting were the DAPE teacher, the mom, the student, the three special education teachers, the para-professional, and case manger.

To get to the number one position hard work and dedication is needed. The success this company has achieved is outstanding and to keep up with the market more effort is now needed. Due to the tough economic situation, Tech Garden is facing competition from infrequent competitors such as Staples, Walmart and the Brick. Customers are more likely to be less brand loyal during these economic crises therefore its time to pursue new customers and existing ones with the new Tech points’ card. This is an additional asset to the new advertising campaign “Taking technology to market” that will allow our customers to show loyalty to us. Furthermore, with this new asset more clients will be drawn towards us and as a result allowing them to become our customers as well. This will not only be beneficial to them but also to our company. After visiting some actual fire departments, I realized as a firefighter you certainly have a lot to be proud of. It’s not your average job and does require quite a bit of organization to stay on top of everything. Everyday you have to be ready and prepared for just about anything that can happen. You never know what kinds of jobs you are going to be set out to do in one day. This means your equipment should be in order, checked and ready to go.
The school that I visited was new. It was the first year of the school opening. The school board had combined two schools into one, so the students had to adjust to their new environments and new individuals. They seemed to be getting along well with each other. Since the school is new the teacher has to adjust to new problems that araise. Times for the subjects and times for using the computer labs change. So the teacher must always be fixable for anything. In this observation of this classroom I learned about the enjoyment of teaching. How you have to adapt to each of the students.
I attended a second grade class at Smallville Elementary on February 22, 2014; the class began promptly at 0855. There are 26 children in this second grade class. There are 15 male students and 11 female students. The student diversity is 2 Hispanics, 1 African-American, 1 East Indian, and 1 New Zealander (White but with an extreme accent). Three children were left-handed.
The students that I observed in the classroom were of middle to high school. I went to see 8th, freshman, 10th , and seniors classes, they seemed excited and very curious to why I was there. The middle school was more alive and rambunctious while I observed them. The High school kids were more relaxed, more comical. Some were paying attention while others seemed tuned out to the lecture or involved in socialization with friends within the class. By the end of the class Mr. Hasgil had restored the attention of everyone by using tactics such as history jeopardy with candy as the prize with the high school kids. In both he middle school and high school the kids were mostly Caucasian with a mixture of black, Asian , and Hispanic in the classes.
