It consists of multiple aspects of child maltreatment and the statistics behind it. It specifically explains the different forms of child neglect; physical, emotional and sexual abuse. It hits on many different topics about the 3 million cases of child abuse reported every year. It would be very resourceful for my research paper considering the fact the website has different subtopics and information about my subject.

This source would be extremely resourceful in terms of my research paper because it is a government official website, meaning it is legit and factual information about my topic. It has many different child welfare topics and resources that answer many of the questions I have had about the subject. It is very well put together and easily accessible to important information. It shows different ways of recognizing the signs of abuse, how to prevent it and respond to it. It also has a news and events section from the Children’s Bureau on current child abuse cases and how they were solved.

This website breaks down where the origin of child abuse mainly comes from and the different cycles many children go through within the experience. It talks about the many different changes in behavior that raises concern about possible abuse. It breaks down the long term consequences of experiencing abuse as a young child and how it affects the everyday lives of the children that are now adults. The website also gives you many different ways to reach out and get help if you are a victim or are witnessing someone be victimized. The only thing missing from this website is statistical information to back up the text.

This website focuses on the harm that most children put themselves through after enduring abuse. Many children look to harm themselves instead of seeking help because they feel nobody will believe them. Children sometimes turn to drugs, alcohol or running away to try to take the pain away. Some kids even try to commit suicide instead of trying to seek help. This website gives very precise information about my topic. Not only would it provide statistical information it also is a government official website.

This would be a good resource for my research paper because it is a charity that focuses on giving children with who grew up in toxic environments, a better life. There are 3 different links where you can either advocate, donate or mentor for the organization. Not only does it focus on preventing child abuse it also focuses on other factors that could also be apart of child endangerment or child neglect. The website includes many different blogs about outside sources that contribute to how society views and acts on abuse. It is a good website when it comes to focusing on child well-being but in terms of focusing on abuse it might not be so helpful.
