Multi agent system has been emerged as the most dominant research wing in the broad domain of artificial intelligence in recent time. The researchers endeavored to make several architectures to construct multi agent system with all its rational properties like autonomy, proactiveness, reactivity and social ability. Communication, cooperation and cognition are the fields relating multi agent system intimately and most researchers tried to configure those components in their proposed multi agent system architecture to make the environment more rational. In this paper we have tried to make a complete literature survey basically to focus all those attempts. Our intention is to provide a fruitful roadmap to the young researchers to design most developed multi agent system based on the best communication, co-operation, and cognition protocols.
The concept of multi agent system comes to the technical world through several factors which initiated the concept of multi agent system. After the invention of computers, human expectations are reaching upon the peak. At the contrary, efficiency and capability of machines were degrading unless it was overcome. Another concept then comes into the picture to use enlarged processing power and devices to speed it up. But this enhancement allows taking the complexity and sophistication of usability and maintainability along it. Gathering more knowledge to handle it is must required. Distributed approach has grabbed the computer generation where systems are not remained alone and connected to a common channel. The most challenging example is internet without which the human life becomes damaged. This interaction is viewed by many scientists and many approaches have been discussed. To deal with the ...

In order to communicate, agents must be able to deliver and receive messages at physical level, agents must communicate over physical and network layers to deliver and receive messages, parse the messages at the syntactic level, to parse messages to correctly decode to its parts as message content, language, sender, to understand the messages at the semantic level, and the parsed symbols must be understood in the same way. An agent designer can place agent communication at the same module as agent action through speech act theory. It serves as transmitter of information as well as acts to change the state of world. These changes belong to the mental states of the agents.
The following literature surveys provide the relation of cognition, co-operation of multi agent system with respect to communication.
Multi agency working is a group of professionals working together as a team to provide the best possible services for their service users and to make sure the needs of the service user, parent/carer are met. Multi- agency working also use the holistic approach to make sure that each individual has effective and high standards services which is suitable for everyone. Information is shared within the teams and they all decide what decision is best for that individual. There can be a wide range of teams working together whether it be gp/hospital , nurse/doctor, psychologist/social worker, care home/social worker and many others. They work together to find out what's best for each individual and how it may effect their physical, intellectual,
Therefore, the human organism although made of multiple “swarms,” is different from other organisms or programs because of the capacity to make conclusions and make illogical and “unnatural” decisions not based on the rudimentary interworking of the brain cells. Therefore although multi agent distributed parallel processing programs, can produce emergent behavior that could possibly be equated to our illogical decisions and creativity, human behavior, although somewhat emergent, stems from a deeper consciousness not generated by the interactions of brain
Communication is defined as a process of sending and receiving messages with attached meaning; it is key to a successful personal and professional life. (Schermerhorn, 2012). With communication it is important to realize that it is both
Communication involves the exchange of messages and is a process which all individuals participate in. Whether it is through spoken word, written word, non-verbal means or even silence, messages are constantly being exchanged between individuals or groups of people (Bach & Grant 2009). All behaviour has a message and communication is a process which individuals cannot avoid being involved with (Ellis et al 1995).
Communication serves various purposes, takes different forms, communication has six characteristics, and trains us how to communicate interpersonally. Communication meets people’s physical, relational, spiritual needs and fills identity needs of human needs. Communication naturally follows a certain process and there are three models or theories that describe this process. Human communication is taken to an action where the user encodes message and conveys it through a communication channel for the receiver to encode, an interaction which explains that our message are shaped by the feedback we receive from others and the context in which we are interacting, or a transaction where both people in a conversation are simultaneously senders and receivers.
In its most basic form, communicating involves a sender who takes his or her thoughts and encodes them into verbal and non-verbal messages that are sent to a receiver. The receiver than decodes the messages and attempts to understand what the sender meant to communication. The communication is completed when the receiver transmits verbal and nonverbal feed back to indicate his or her reception and understanding of the message. This process takes place within a context; also know as rhetorical situation, which includes all that affects the communication process such as the sender-receiver’s culture, the sender-receiver‘s relationship, the circumstances surrounding the sender-receiver’s interaction, and the physical environment of the interaction.
Everything we do in our life involves communication because it is a way for a sender to send message to the receiver by verbal and non-verbal communication. However, in some parts of the world messages that are delivered sometimes are not received in a way it is supposed to. A way to solve this is by using competent communicator and intercultural communication because it makes it easier for people from other cultures to communicate in general. On the other hand, there are also some problems faced because different cultures have different ways to express their way of communication. By understanding these types of communication and by defining them may solve this dilemma. In addition to that, there are also types of communication to consider that are commonly used, which is Proxemics, Gestures and body language.
In order to see how artificial intelligence plays a role on today’s society, I believe it is important to dispel any misconceptions about what artificial intelligence is. Artificial intelligence has been defined many different ways, but the commonality between all of them is that artificial intelligence theory and development of computer systems that are able to perform tasks that would normally require a human intelligence such as decision making, visual recognition, or speech recognition. However, human intelligence is a very ambiguous term. I believe there are three main attributes an artificial intelligence system has that makes it representative of human intelligence (Source 1). The first is problem solving, the ability to look ahead several steps in the decision making process and being able to choose the best solution (Source 1). The second is the representation of knowledge (Source 1). While knowledge is usually gained through experience or education, intelligent agents could very well possibly have a different form of knowledge. Access to the internet, the la...
The robot revolution has begun! The eradication of the human race by the cold, cunning, and calculating autonomous army of artificial intelligence is imminent and unstoppable… or is it? While our world is becoming increasingly dependant on new technologies, artificial intelligence is steadily progressing its importance in business, creativity, and labor efficiency. To understand the growing role of artificial intelligence, it is important to understand where it began and where it is headed.
Communication is an important aspect of processing and transferring information in our society. The important entities needed for a successful communication includes; a sender, receiver, message and feedback. First, the sender is a person or entity that is sending information to the receiver. After receiving the message, the receiver will attempt to decode the message and prepares a proper response (feedback). Communication is an essential part of our daily interactions; it can be seen used in businesses, for pleasure, sports, education and many more activities.
This paper gives some insight into the vast subject of artificial intelligence and its use in the business world. Artificial intelligence is an incredibly interesting topic; it is used throughout the world in many different applications. Many do not know what artificial intelligence is or how it used, even though they are surrounded by it on a daily basis. To learn more about this topic it is important to do extensive research online by reading many different academic journals and articles. This paper will give the reader a better understanding of artificial intelligence and how it is being used in transportation and manufacturing businesses. These are just two small sections in the wide subject of AI (artificial intelligence) but give a bigger
Artificial Intelligence is the scientific theory to advance the scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying thought and intelligent behavior and their embodiment in machines. This is going to hold the key in the future. It has always fa...
Communication is an interdependent process of sending, receiving, and understanding messages. The definition implies that the components of the communication process cannot be examined separately. Rather, the relationship exists between the sender and the receiver, as well as the environment of the communication event, must be viewed as a whole. According to this perspective, if any of the components and circumstances change (that is, the number of individuals involved in the interaction, seating arrangements, or the time of the day) the communication event is altered. Communication is an ongoing process; we never stop sending and receiving messages. As we will discover, communication is a dynamic process, a process that changes from one communication setting to the next. Although it is difficult to predict, the ways of interpreting communication, certain components are always present in the communication process.
Artificial Intelligence “is the ability of a human-made machine to emulate or simulate human methods for the deductive and inductive acquisition and application of knowledge and reason” (Bock, 182). The early years of artificial intelligence were seen through robots as they exemplified the advances and potential, while today AI has been integrated society through technology. The beginning of the thought of artificial intelligence happened concurrently with the rise of computers and the dotcom boom. For many, the utilization of computers in the world was the most advanced role they could ever see machines taking. However, life has drastically changed from the 1950s. This essay will explore the history of artificial intelligence, discuss the
It involves active listening and reflects the accountability of speaker and listeners. Information is conveyed as words, tone of voice, and body language. According to dimbleby et al(1992) Communication is a learnt activity and is provided by the media which forms a bridge between the sender and the receiver. In the process A speaker transmits a message and must ensure that the message is delivered clearly. A listener takes utterance of the message and must be an active listener and give feedback. Communication is a process that includes linear influencing and transactional views from different dimensional barriers (İşman et al., 2003). One-way communication where the sender cannot get any feedback is the linear view. On the other hand, the influencing others view is the existence of a two-way communication which includes feedback as well as nonverbal communication, but it does not include at the same time sending-receiving feedback th...
