Mikihiko Orr The Critize debates As the race for the presidential nominees is coming close to a result, we see many of the candidates promoting the campaign. However, several candidates are making decisions and accusations in the campaign to criticize their fellow competitor’s looks, backgrounds, and gender. This “mud-slinging” has been very common throughout our nation’s presidential campaign’s history. Today’s candidates running for the presidential nominee should be criticizing more on the decisions and policies on today's problem, rather than bash their fellow candidates for …show more content…
It all started when Republican candidate Donald J. Trump began to make accusations to one of his fellow party members.According WND news, Trump targeted candidate Ted Cruz by stating that Ted was not born within the United States and was born in Canada. Since being born in the United States was one of the few requirements of becoming president, Ted Cruz might be facing lawsuits if Trump’s statement is true. This would result in Cruz’s campaign to be plummeting further. This technique may be useful in boosting your popularity, but making accusations over a person’s background of their birth, makes you unpopular to people who are very sensitive to accusations. When people keep on saying accusations and foul statements, they become more hated. Recently on Twitter, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren had posted various tweets describing her feelings for Donald Trump. She stated how Trump is a “loser” for his decisions in business and his campaign. Now in the tweets, there are no words that discriminate on Trump’s gender or race. It does say topics related to his background, but are not specific. Now feeling insulted, Trump retaliates by saying how Elizabeth used her Native American heritage to promote her benefits. He states example of Elizabeth accepted into Harvard University and able to be reelect in the Senate. This is show that when someone begins the mud slinging people will join in and sling at you, which makes you sling even

Few issues will motivate Americans to put down their cheeseburgers and pick up a shotgun faster than the threat of infringement upon their civil liberties. The right to choose what toothpaste to buy, what color socks to wear with those sandals, or what spiritual doctrine to follow, is fiercely defended by both conservatives and liberals alike. In fact, this commitment to personal liberty is what defines us as Americans, and sets us apart from the rest of the world (even if only in our own minds). This attitude is embodied in our presidential rhetoric:
In this essay, I will explain why Texas should retain the partisan election of judges. Texas is one of the few states that elect their judges using a Partisan voting method. Partisan elections can be unfair and can misinform the voter. A high legal position such as a judge should never be chosen in such a manner. Partisan elections often cost more than nonpartisan elections in campaigning. Partisan elections are also more likely to lead to straight ticket voting or mindless voting. Partisan elections also lead to more campaign contributions and can increase the power of constituencies. Lastly partisan elections can cause an imbalance in equal represent the population. Therefore, Partisanship voting does not belong in the courts of Texas and

This poster says that this woman speaks broken English or Ebonics and with her appearing to be pregnant and the words “I went all de way wif L.B.J.” suggests a sexual undertone, that went ignored during mid 60’s and screams loudly to the ignorance of some blacks at that time, that this black woman has done something sexual with the person who wanted to be president.
The First Amendment Center conducts a national annual survey on the First Amendment. “Americans clearly have mixed views of what First Amendment freedoms are and to whom they should fully apply. To me the results of this year’s survey endorse the idea of more and better education for young people - our nation’s future leaders - about our basic freedoms.” (Gene Policinski, VP and executive director of the First Amendment Center 2007)

In the midst of one of the most controversial presidential elections in history, both political parties are struggling to prove that their candidate is the best choice. Clinton and Trump’s disapproval ratings are very low, but one has to ask, is there really a lesser evil to choose from? While Clinton has had her own fair share of past discrepancies, Trump’s track record proves much more troublesome. Donald Trump has proven to be an untrustworthy presidential candidate because of his misogynistic actions, his racial bias, and his corrupt business history. During the Republican debate on August 6, 2016, Trump had a falling out with Fox correspondent Megyn Kelly after she questioned him about some of his comments on women, where he referred to them as “’fat pigs’, ‘dogs’, ’slobs’, and ‘disgusting animals’,” (Bahadur).
Values some take for granted within this society today were ignored wholesale by a tyrannical colonial authority, and the people of this land rose up, shook off the chains of oppression, and set out to devise a new governmental system under which they could live rather freely. In his iconic “Four Freedoms” speech, America’s 32nd president, Franklin D. Roosevelt, outlined said values, stating that all should enjoy “freedom of speech and expression...freedom...to worship God in [their] own way” and “ a healthy peacetime life” (46). The importance of the concept of free speech and equality to the American identity cannot be understated, as it truly the foundation upon which much of this society rests. In the United states, it is instilled in us that from birth each human is bestowed with the same freedoms as all others. However, time and time again, people are denied these freedoms on the basis of skin color, religion, sexual orientation, or gender. Luckily, when such situations arise, the core belief that each and every person is owed liberty motivates the citizens of this nation to exercise their rights. With this in mind they speak out, or fight, against injustice, to take a further step towards making that dream of equality and a “healthy peacetime life” for all a

Since he is so main stream now and also an outstanding twitter poster, most of his new supporter does not know what he says is mostly based on his personal feelings. Trump’s policy is so blank; he is spreading the anger of uneducated whites for his own sake to win the election. Make America great again says Trump, what really he means is make it white again. His central advantage is people especially uneducated whites believes that Trump will get the America dream for them again. Donald
