This story is about a man who receives a talisman and starts making wishes but then after one wish the owner of the talisman wants nothing to do with the talisman so he just leaves it alone until the owners wife begs him to bring their son back to life after his son died in some kind a machinery. The talisman in this story is similar to a lucky charm but this talisman grants 3 wishes but you have to wish for something sensible.

The owner of the talisman is Mr.White. He is so glad he receives the talisman and can now wish for 3 things but he already has everything he needs but just to see if this talisman really works he just makes a wish. Mr.White's first wish is 200 pounds of money. After his wish Mrs. White and their son Herbert hear a crash from their piano and they also hear shuddering cries from the Mr. White. Then Mr. White say that the talisman twisted his hand like a snake. Then Mrs. White says that Mr. White is just imagining stuff but Mr.White knows that the talisman twisting his hand wasn’t his imagination. …show more content…

White's second wish is to bring his son back to life. When Mr. Whites son dies in his job Mrs. White begs Mr. White to bring their son back to life by using the talisman. Mr. White reacts fierce toward Mrs. Whites claim he says that their son will not come back the same he will come back differently. Mrs. White say that she doesn't care that her some will always be her son but Mr. White doesnt think his son will come back the the same he will be different. Mr. White gets tired of his wife telling him to wish so he finally wishes his son alive but before that he says “ but don't blame me for anything bad thats happens.” After hMr. White wishes his son back to life a few minutes later he and his wife hear a knock on the door and then Mr. whites gets frightened and drops the talisman. Mrs. White goes running down the stairs but she cant open the lock so she calls her husband but he is to busy looking for the
