When you live in North Texas, you can be sure that there are always interesting things to see and do nearby. Whether you visit Fredericksburg, Austin, Round Top, or the Hill Country, the general area is filled with unique sights, sounds, and people. If you have recently moved to North Texas and aren’t sure which places and activities to experience first, you might consider a few (or all) of the following options.
Fredericksburg – Places You Shouldn’t Miss
One of the first stops you might make in Fredericksburg is Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. This stunning area has much to offer those who seek fun in the great outdoors, from rock climbing to backpacking to bird watching to stargazing. There are many amazing restaurants around the area with some of the best country food you can find. Pigeon Forge is also known for its vast amount of Ripley's Believe it or Not museums. There is also a place in Pigeon Forge which is one of my favorite places called the AppleBarn, where you can buy many fresh apple products. Gatlinburg, Tennessee is a prime tourist destination that is filled with action packed adventures. Day or night there is never a dull and moment. You can visit the quaint little shops in the light of day or patrol the dark and somewhat wild street of the night. However, you plan to spend your time in Gatlinburg, you are guaranteed to have an awesome time.
Exchange Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas, is an interesting place to visit. You will learn a great deal about the history of Fort Worth and have fun in the process. There are always special events going on such as parades on Saint Patrick’s Day, Easter Egg Hunts, and photos with Santa. If you get a chance to visit Exchange Avenue, wear comfortable shoes and plan on making a day of it. There are plenty of attractions to keep you entertained for hours and many of them do not cost anything. You might even see me and my horse in a parade walking backwards. For some reason, she likes to watch the other horses and walk backwards.

If you ever find yourself in Baltimore there are some things and places you must go and do. First of all there is Lexington Market which stretches over two blocks. This centuries old market has more than one hundred and fifty stalls and vendors offering fresh vegetables, seafood, meats, baked goods and prepared foods. You can find some of the best crab cakes known to man here, you haven't had a real crab cake until you taste one without all the bread filling. The sweet meat of blue crab is held together by egg, a tiny bit of bread crumbs an more crab meat. Camden Yards is also a must see. It is one of the most beautiful baseball stadiums in the world. Instead of the traditional hotdog stands you will find pit beef sandwiches and Natty Boh. I highly recommend you go on a food tour if ever in Baltimore.

Its location is 80 miles from Johnson City and thirty miles from Knoxville. From Knoxville go towards Ashville on the 181 north interstate and take Exit 407 to Sevierville; from Johnson City take highway 181 South towards Knoxville and take the same exit (approximately one hour from Johnson City, and twenty to thirty minutes from Knoxville). If you're a nature lover, Ober Gatlinburg might be the perfect place for you. The Smoky Mountains are right next door, and their spectacular views, rich wildlife and long hiking trails are all but guaranteed to leave you speechless. Gatlinburg itself is filled with fun places to visit, such as Ripley's Aquarium and Odditorium, the Sky Lift, and the many shopping malls and museums. During the winter season, the Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area is a must visit for anyone interested in ski sports.
Have you ever been to Texas? I have been once. My trip to Texas was unbelievably awesome. I saw many of things on my way there. While we were there, I had loads of fun. Many things happened while we were there. Texas was the coolest place I have ever been.
You can also go to one of the restaurants along the Riverwalk, or stop by for a drink, or you could always stop by for a souvenir – right next to the Original Mexican Bar and Restaurant. A place where I used to work at.
