Motivation to Teach
To me a teacher is someone who loves children and loves helping others achieve their goals. I think the main focus on a teacher’s mind should be to encourage others to make the world a better place to live. In order to make the world a better place, someone has to inspire others to make a change. I feel that teachers should become the inspiration of today’s children and tomorrow’s future. I believe teachers need that desire inside of them, to want to make a difference in someone else’s life, in order to make the world a better place.
When I receive my Education degree in Mathematics and Science for grades five through nine, I plan to make a difference in not only one child’s life, but in every child’s life I teach. I believe education is the key to making a difference in the world. I know I can’t make that difference on my own, so I plan to teach my students the knowledge I have received through not only school but also through life.
I want to become a teacher the student can trust in a time of need. I want to be there for them when they need someone to talk to about any situation. I want to be involved in my student’s life, not just stand in front of them and conduct lessons. I believe the bond between a teacher and a student is very special and is something that should be always be cherished. I had many teachers who taught me valuable lessons, and I want to model the impact they made in my life.
I plan to use a variety of teaching methods in my classroom. I will use the essentialism philosophy as my foundation and incorporate a mixture of progressivism and social reconstructionism. I believe the teacher and students should work together in determining the curriculum...

After I pursue my Bachelor of Science in Education, I plan on settling down in my hometown, Peterstown, West Virginia, and raising a family. I want to find a job in that area, either at Peterstown Middle School or at a Giles County School in Virginia. I want to give back to my community what it gave to me as a student.
I know it will take time to change the entire world, but if I can influence the life of one child maybe it will become contagious. I want to inspire students to go out and achieve their dreams and inspire others to do the same. I had many teachers that inspired me to do just that and that is my plan for life- to encourage others to make the world a better place.

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Everyone has heard of it. A few years ago every newspaper and weekly magazine had a feature about the disorder. The disorder was mostly associated with school-aged children because that was the time when most of the symptoms surfaced. Today ADHD is the most common behavior disorder diagnosed in children and teens. ADHD refers to a group of symptoms that begin in early childhood and can continue into adulthood, causing difficulties at home, at school, at work, and within the community if not recognized and treated (1). But what most people never hear was that ADHD also affects adults and if left untreated can have serious effects.
The goal is to uncover each child’s unique motivations and use these to teach them the skills they need to know for life. Joining a child with autism rather than stopping them, will make a difference in gaining their trust. Having their trust will draw a close connection with them, making it possible for improved communication. Undoubtedly, the building blocks for a successful life with autism is to add a positive outlook. In addition to changing your reaction to their behaviors. I believe that these changes of going against the grain, will show the improvement of interactions.
Literature, as does philosophy and art, follows a continuous wave; with every the crest of a new era, there is a trough from the pervious era. When a new age of style and ideals surfaces, the ideas are often directly against the ideas of the previous period. The Romantic period was an era of emotion, it was no longer about logic or preciseness as it was during the time of Enlightenment period. Both artists and poets of the Romantic period, like John Keats, focused on the expression of feeling and demonstrated an affinity for nature. In John Keats’s “Ode on a Grecian Urn,” Keats brings to life images displayed on an ancient urn. The images, that become displayed in our minds, are of beauty, love, and happiness, all which have been conserved throughout the years despite the rise and fall of civilizations and kingdoms. This creation parallels the seemingly ideal and eternal world depicted on the urn, with the world Keats was born to live in. The truth that is extracted from this poem provides both answers and mysteries that, as T.S. Elliot explains, can either be seen as a “blemishing” factor or something truly profound. If it had not been for the upbringing Keats had growing up, his work would not have captured the same mastery it does now that is seen in his manipulation of sound, and use of rhetorical devices.

“On first looking into Chapman’s Homer” was written by John Keats in October 1816. Chapman, George Chapman is who translated the works of Homer, the great Greek poet “father of poets”. This poem is in the form of a sonnet which has fourteen lines. It was considered Keats’ first major poem, and it is about poetry, it includes a metaphor, “travell’d through the realms of gold” which is one of Keats’ poetic techniques which means Keats read lots of books and it is what inspired him. This poem includes an image of a Spanish soldier and adventurer Cortez and his men staring at the Pacific (Cortez conquered Mexico in 1519 meaning he was more a warrior than explorer. This shows Keats’ own ambitions as a poet). In this poem Keats talks about circumnavigating the world of literature and he explains in detail, what books he is reading. which is what makes this poem more interesting. The main theme of is this poem is discovery, where Keats is talking about his discoveries in his books.

Also the quote tells how much Pip loves Estella. Pip’s love is all about himself and it is not entirely selfless. Pip describes his love in images of nature and the landscape that he has.
When I look back to my young developing stages in life, I always ask myself where would I be today if it wasn’t for my teachers? Teachers are the ones who build our future generations. Preparing children and teens for higher education. Also playing a huge part in shaping children’s lives, enlightening them, and educating them about society and the world around them; the types of things that a parent doesn’t have time for, or just lacks the knowledge of. I think teachers are what help make this world go round.
Introduction: Among the English Romantic poets, Keats was the least education but in many ways the most skillful, both technically and thematically. Teachers serve as the guiding force in a student’s life. They are responsible for molding a student’s personality and shaping his/her mental orientation. Teachers deeply impact our lives and direct the course of our future. One cannot deny the influence of teachers in one’s life. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to say that, till a certain age, out life revolves around our teachers. They are our constant companions, until we grow old enough to come out of their shadow and move ahead on our own.
After meeting her and Estella, Pip develops a strong desire to become a gentleman instead of a blacksmith. Miss Havisham leads a life of luxury that Pip wants to join. She is also against the entire male species after she was left at the altar thus she is very cold and heartless towards Pip because he is her latest victim. Estella, who grew up in her adoptive mother’s shadow, has developed a similar personality. She has a strong disdain for Pip and is always scorning and insulting him by saying things such as “‘common laboring-boy’” (54). Despite this, Pip develops a strong admiration for Estella and is eager to alter his personality to become worthy of her attention and expectations. For Pip to get Estella to fall in love with him, he creates a false self-based on the criteria that she gives him. Because of Estella’s and Miss Havisham’s maltreatment towards Pip, he becomes self-aware of him “commonness” and starts to feel shameful of his upbringing. Additionally, the fact that Pip thinks that Miss Havisham is his benefactor, prompts him to fit the mold that he believes she would desire. This is all to impress her and hopefully be allowed to marry Estella in the future. Thus, he becomes a snob and is influenced to act as they do, such as being conscious of class and wealth and judging others because of it. But personally, in response to his shame, becoming a gentleman will also allow him to become something that he is not ashamed of, a man of great expectations. As we reminisce and reflect back either on our childhood or academic career, we tend to have that one teacher who was memorable to us in some way - for their sense of humor, their stellar personality, or perhaps having that charisma and charm no other teacher had to make a difficult subject and it 's concepts fun to learn. While knowledge is power, I firmly believe that it is rather the exchange and distribution of knowledge that is power. When one can educate the masses there is no doubt that together we can accomplish great things. Becoming a teacher would mean the opportunity to be able to witness the shaping and molding of the minds of the future generations and the satisfaction knowing that you have helped your students set themselves onto the right path and provide guidance towards the creation of a better tomorrow. My philosophy of education is a combination of essentialism and progressivism . I feel that knowledge can be learned from a textbook, but I also want my students to use other means of knowledge. I fell in certain times, I should be the center of the classroom and other times, the students should be the center. Education is about the students and I am there to guide them through their journey. I think it's important to let children learn by exploring. By doing this, they choose what information is important and should be retained. When it comes to learning, students should always be in the center. The teachers are only there to mentor and improve upon a child's skills. In my mind progressivism with a mix of essentialism is the best philosophy for me to follow.
