Mother Vs Father Everyone has a mother and a father however, some people only live with one of the parents. Some parents are single parent or some have remarried to a different person, thus giving the child a stepparent. If the step parent is up for the challenge and parents correctly, they can easily just become a mother or father figure instead of the step mom or step dad. Regardless, there is many differences between a mother and father. They typically have different ideas on parenting styles, different attitudes towards certain experiences or ideas, etc. They are almost never completely on the same page, but if they are it is very well known it took quite some time to get there together. A mother is a woman in charge. By definitions created by other civilians a mother is a compassionate woman who gave birth to you and always wants to protect you. Most of the time it is an unspoken rule that the woman rules the house. As the joke states, “happy wife, happy life”. The mother carries the baby in her womb for nine months and goes through hours of excruciating pain to bring the child into the world. People typically see the …show more content…
By a definition found on the internet a father is a man who, despite not giving birth to you still loves his child just as much as the mother does. Fathers sometimes seem as more understanding and laid back and seem to have easier resolutions to their child’s problems. They typically tell the child everything will be okay and to tough it out and send the child on to continue what they were doing. However, sometimes he can be hotheaded and punish you faster than mom. Sometimes men are joked about as being overgrown children, which can often times amount to a better relationship between the father and child. A lot of children go to their father for the fun experiences like collecting money or going to a friend’s house because he will give in to their begging and pleading easier than their mother
The definition of a good father is as individual as the individuals involved themselves. A good father is able to support his children’s strengths, along with being able to help them overcome their weaknesses. He is able to do this without appearing to be a know-it-all. The ability to show by example how to live life, while not being afraid to make mistakes and not to be perfect all the time are also very important characteristic.
The father’s role in a child’s development has traditionally been underestimated. According to researchers Ross Parke and Kevin MacDonald and, authors of the article “Parent-Child Physical Play,” which appeared in the journal Sex Roles, fathers play an integral role in the emotional and social development of children. Father-child interaction tends to be more intense, and through their shared activities children learn how to express and control their emotions with their fathers. By working together, mothers and fathers help their children develop their skills across the spectrum.
Diana Baumrind’s theory on parenting was defined by four different types. The types are, authoritative style, authoritarian style, permissive style, and uninvolved style. My parents have an authoritative style. Authoritative is when the parents give certain limits and restrictions but keep it to a minimum and are usually pretty reasonable, providing reasoning for their decisions. This type of parenting style expresses tenderness and warmth. When the rules come into conflict with something, authoritative parents bend the rule more often than other types of parents.
This research paper will explore primarily the impact of African American single-parent households on the children that live in these environments. This is a very important issue and more awareness is needed. Research has provided evidence that single-parent households are one of many risk factors that can negatively affect a child’s educational outcome, emotional health and social behavior. Although not all single-parent family households have disadvantages, the focus of his study is to shed more light on the issues and offer solutions. For example, more policies are needed to reinforce fathers to pay child support. This alone will provide mothers with more money to help them better raise their children.
For me a father’s role to me is a little more important to a child, having a father teaches the girl that she deserves love and respect, protection, attention, strong self-esteem etc. so they know what to expect from their future relationships. The boy needs a father figure because it teaches him right from wrong, how to be a man, how to provide for his family, how to respect a woman etc. In this generation now, absent fathers is the most abused social problem. When a father is alive and he neglects to care or acknowledge you, is what is being abused. Mothers and fathers parent different, mothers are affectionate, emotional, and enforce safety of their children. Fathers are more of the disciplinarians, they enforce success, and a father figure is more
According to the article “Rather than confirming the home as a haven from the heartless world, this study has revealed the heartlessness of the system in which mothers and nannies are caught,” the researcher wants people to know, instead of that the child becoming a well respectful adult in society, there is a possibility that the child will experience some trouble in becoming that person in his/her later life, because of the constant conflict between mothers and nannies; puppeteer is the main reason for these conflict.
Since the beginning of time, fathers have had a profound effect on their child’s development. Over the years, the norm for traditional family dynamics of having a father figure in the household has changed drastically, and so did the roles of the parents. It is not as common as it used to be to have a father or father figure in the home. In this day and age, women are more likely to raise children on their own and gain independence without the male assistance due to various reasons. The most significant learning experience and development of a person’s life takes place in their earlier years when they were children. There are many advantages when there is a mother and father combined in a
Single parent households are becoming so common that is is expected. The amount of children living with their father has gone up but it is still pretty low compared to children living with their mothers. Which parent you are raised by is important. Each parent can only teach you what they learned. You mother can only teach you how to be a mother and your father can only teach you how to be ...
Every parent has different skills that they use when dealing with their child. Growing up I had two parents with completely different techniques on how to handle situations with me. Both of my parents love me unconditionally, and would give me the entire world if they could. For every parent, teaching lessons and earning respect is a very important aspect to them. Each of my parents love me so much, but both have very different ways of showing affection, discipline, and communication.
A father is someone who protects, loves, supports and raises his children, whether they are biologically related or not. Every single person living on the Earth has a biological father. These biological fathers are supposed to take the responsibility of being a father because they did help bring a child into this world. One of the main responsibilities of a father is providing the child with the necessities of life, which include food, shelter, and clothes. Not only is a father responsible for the physical aspect but the emotional aspect as well. Children need to feel loved, cared for, and emotional support from their parents. A child needs to be reassured, so a father must show his affection, both physically and emotionally. A father needs to be involved in his children’s life. He needs to be a problem solver, playmate, provider, preparer, and he has to have principles. A father has to pr...
A father have a big impact of their child life because its nothing like having a father to get that man part of your life. Although some believe that fathers do not play an important role, Fathers are vital in their children’s lives. Some people believe fathers don’t play major role.
Women are blessed with what I consider is the biggest gift in the universe and that is to give life to what once was part of them. At some point in our lives we ask ourselves……. What is a good mother? Although there can be endless definitions, my definition of a good mother is based on what I consider to be morally right. A good mother always thinks about her children first, a good mother is always willing to give her life for her children, a good mother is soft and gentle with her children, but a good mother becomes aggressive and protective when her children are exposed to potential threats and a good mother will always want the best for her children.

For my mid term paper I 'm going to talk about single parent children and how it affect them in all aspects of life and how it forces the child to grow up faster than other children that have 2 parents.
There are so many different types of family relationships. Whatever form a family takes; it is an important part of everyone’s life. My family has played an important role in my life. Good family relationships serve as a foundation to interactions with others. Supportive families will help children to thrive. The quality of the family relationship is more important than the size of the family. Making the relationships priority, communication, and providing support for one another is key to developing relationships. Family relationships are what make up our world today; they shape the ways that we see things and the ways that we do things.
