The most influential people in my high school career would have to be my band directors, Mr. and Mrs. Sacco. They have helped shape me into the person I am today. They have taught me many life lessons and have given me a home away from home. They strongly believe in family, and have shown me that everyone matters, no matter how strongly you dislike them, they are still your team, your family. I believe that they have also given me some of my most memorable experiences here in high school. The band in general has been my home, and because of them it is possible.
They’re effect on me has been tremendous throughout all the years that I have had them as my teachers. Mr. Sacco has taught me never to give up even if all you want to do is through
Band is family. When your student walks onto campus, he or she is instantly adopted into the strongest society on campus. They will be spending their school days among the top achievers on campus, with fellow students who look out for one another and steer each other away from trouble instead of towards it. Teachers, staff, parents, and volunteers watch over all the kids as if they were their own.
...join so long ago I never really knew I 'd end up here doing what I do. It seems like the common theme for me is seeing something and saying “I can 't do that” then pursuing it until I can. One of my fondest memories is watching someone at the percussion concert play a marimba solo when I was in sixth grade and just looking over at Justin molder and laughing saying “wow I can 't do that” now I do that all the time. I didn 't think I could ever be the leader of a group like this it seemed like too much for me, but now after watching and being in this program and seeing where it could go and what I can do, I want to help take it there. I feel great about next year no matter what happens but I 'm ready to step up, I 'm ready take on whatever I have to to make this year the best year yet. Not just for me but for us all every last one of us in this great family I call home.
The United Sates has had a short yet complex history in its two hundred and twenty-four years.
I have had many special experiences while playing in band. Just in this semester alone, our band has played in two concerts and a CMEA festival. Our band has also been privileged to have a session with Mr. Smith. Overall, I would like to say that playing in concert band had been a great and learning experience.
So many people have made an impact on society and myself today. It is hard to decide who's influences have been the greatest and who has had the most impact all together. In selecting these unique people, I had to look at my own morals and values and ask myself what I encounter day by day. My everyday life basically consists of money, music, technology, and people, which has lead me to research individuals who made an impact on these aspects.
“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has them, but obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb, go through, or work around it.” (Michael Jordan) Michael Jordan is definitely an influential person because of his impact on basketball, his impact on youth through his name brand, and through the support of charities.
I have been a member of marching band ever since I was in eighth grade. Marching, and music itself, was almost part of my DNA, with my entire family having been involved in musical organizations before me. My journey into the world of marching band began as a timid, reserved, and anxiety-filled girl who did not know anybody else involved in the organization. I was convinced that I was going to hate it, and came home from most of our summer rehearsals in tears. That was when older members started reaching out to me; they invited me to lunches and dinners during band camp, and sat with me during breaks so that I did not have to be alone. Eventually I made other friends my age, and I did not need to cling to them as much, but I still considered
Many would also say, “The entire band [becomes] your family,” like my friend, more like sister Jocelyn. She also had no knowledge of being in a marching band, but had been playing her clarinet for a while so she kind of had a feel for what the band class was like. Yes, she talked to kids from band class and just took the class, because it was on her schedule in middle school, but when arriving at high school she was preparing for an awakening. Not a bad one, of course, but marching band was way different from your simple band class. Little did she know how close one can get to a band-mate, or too many band-mates. She saw herself going to upperclassmen everyday seeking help or helping them out; everyone at some point in time is able to be comfortable with one another throughout the entire band. “Even once our senior band members, graduate we [will always] have a connection, even if we are [far] apart from one another, they will always be there to help.” Knowing that our younger band members have this mindset of not forgetting about the graduated teammates touches my heart. Honestly never had I, myself, felt so supported or loved when I came to be a part of something so special and unique. Everyone in the organization is kind hearted, devoted, and supportive, you can never
Michael jordan is an influential person because he makes very inspiring quotes,is a very bolig influence to succeed and is a great basketball player.
Another influential incident in my life is going to FCHS. Going to FCHS also caused me to lose some of my friends. Even though I lost those friends, I made many friends who are really nice. I also learned alot about who my real friends are.
My next major influence was my first grade teacher. I remember most of that school year was spent on Martin Luther King Jr. That was the first time I had learned about racism, and what had happened in the past to blacks, amongst others. That school year had a great impact on me and it has changed me ever since to treat all people fairly, no matter what color, sex, intelligence level, social class, etc. This experience has taught me the meaning of democracy, and how to practice it.
Why is influence such big deal? Influence gives you personal values. Influence comes from everyone or everything; that mean you can’t dodge it. Where this influence comes from is basely people or thing that interact with each other. Influence is important. It is how we learn in our life. Influences reflect on our personal judgment, socially or personally. Influence is always major in every single step that people take in their life. That is why our families worry about what outside or unknown influences that can bring us great hurt. This essay is about three people who have greatly influenced me. These three persons who influenced me improved my life, skills, and mood. My dad, Mike, and Jimmy are three people who have greatly influenced my life.
been in band for three years in middle school, high school band was a whole new world full of
The three most influential people are my sister mom and dad. My sister cause she would always stop me when I was making stupid decisions. One time I was going to stop playing sports just to go mess around with my gangster friends and she wouldn’t let me.
I think the most influential people in my life are my parents. They are always there when I need them and sometimes when I think that I don't. They have taught me the value of honesty. I feel that they are the soul reason why I turned out the way I did. I don't drink or do drugs because they have taught me they are wrong and unhealthy. I was taught to respect my self as well as others.
