Why the Moon Landing Theory is a Hoax There has been immense controversy surrounding whether or not the US government merely hoaxed the world by asserting victory over Russia in their space race. Various arguments and evidences have been brought forward for and against this issue with divergent conclusions drawn from this. However, my closer insight of the various facts surrounding the argument indicates lack of sufficient reasons to believe the US ever landing on the moon. It is regrettable that these unproven and unsupported reports about the landing of the moon by the US crew have infiltrated widely throughout the US and the world at large. This is particularly disturbing given that the public, especially the young curious population grows up with misinformed mentality of an issue whose occurrence remains in doubt. Conspiracy theorists indicate that when man ever landed on the moon, the event was broadcasted live on television, and the viewers could vividly see the waving US flag that was hoisted on the moon. In addition, the photos of the landing appear to ripple in a breeze, especially the apparent folding of the flag. Such …show more content…
evidences do not support the notion of the place in reference being on the moon, especially in line with the scientific facts that are unanimously appreciated worldwide. Based on my great knowledge and extensive reading of science literature regarding the conditions on the moon, I can identify the obvious problem in the purported moon landing. For instance, the apparent waving of the flag could have only been caused by moving air in that area. However, my understanding of the moon’s atmosphere is that it does not have air, and this meant that there was no chance that the flag had been hoisted on the moon. The notion of moon landing by the US is also defeated by the fact that the shadows of the objects as portrayed by the photos believed to have been captured on the moon have multiple directions, which indicates that there must have been more than one source of light.
My understanding of the moon, according to the scientific facts is that there is a single source of strong light on the moon, which is the sun. Therefore, it is logical to expect that all shadows on the photos would be parallel to each other, yet the videos and photos provided to the public show the shadows falling in different directions. Such inconsistence shows how cheap the whole idea of moon landing seeks to manipulate the minds of the public. No price is sufficient to pay for loss of peace of mind created by lies, especially when the lies are made to be universal
truth. It is surprising that the photos of the purported moon atmosphere do not have any star captured. Science indicates that the moon is not covered by clouds, and this means that the stars must be visible from the moon, with greater brightness than that seen from the earth. Therefore, it is not possible to believe that there was any activity conducted on the moon by the US as purported by the government of the time. I believe that the entire story was created with the intention of demonstrating the apparent victory of the US over the fierce enemy, Russia, with both countries engaging in space race as a way of enhancing their military abilities.
...ary knew about the crash and that they were going to transport the wreckage to another military base. Many eyewitness accounts with similar details eliminate the possibility of merely a single person making up the entire event. The government’s contradictory reports demonstrate that their knowledge of the incident is dynamic and dependent on how they want the people to react. This matter is important because it raises the possibility that if the government is hiding information from the public about a spacecraft accident, there may be other incidents where the government is concealing the truth from the public. Despite the government’s best attempts to cover up the Roswell incident, eyewitness accounts from the common person validate the idea that an unidentified flying object crashed in Roswell, New Mexico and eternally changed the lives of several people.

Once the United States landed Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon, it was clear that the U.S. hoaxed the moon landing due to observations being viewed during the live footage of the moon landing. When watching the United States land on the moon, viewers claim to have watched the flag waving on live television. As known, there is no atmosphere in space or on the moon, so why should the flag be waving? NASA clai...
If Apollo 11 had failed, if two of our nation's greatest heroes were left stranded on the Moon with only hours of oxygen, the President would have been asked to give a speech. This speech was written, but fortunately, was never required to be shared. In this never given speech, William Safire (President Nixon’s head speech-writer) puts into words a remarkably effective sentiment that truly serves what would have been its intended purpose, to comfort the American People, and reassure them that this is not the end of Apollo. Safire brilliantly uses rhetoric to further his argument, utilizing primarily pathos supplemented by logos. Safire knew that Nixon would have gone into this speech with a strongly established ethos, President of the United

The world would have been very different if we had not landed on the moon and made it back safely those couple days in July of 1969. Many people were nervous and skeptical that the mission of Apollo 11 wouldn’t work, some even coming to the worst case scenario. As a president, President Nixon had to be prepared for any outcome of this great event in history. Regardless of the mission’s success, a speech was prepared for the outcome of Apollo 11 failing. The speech, In Event of Moon Disaster, written for President Nixon, effectively uses pathos and logos to appeal to a distraught nation in fragile time and uses descriptive language to regain the embodiment of hope again in the country. Because it was written before the event took place, however,
In researching this and many other conspiracy theories, one can see many uses of sensationalism, mainly by the media. This media- the news (local and national), magazines, tabloids, television shows, movies, and so on- has a huge e...
The Space Race is remarkably similar to that of the arms race because of the parallel between the creation of the atomic bomb and the goal of reaching the moon. The United States’ bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki effectively established its place as the technologically superior nation; however, major milestones in space achieved early by the Soviets damaged America’s reputation. In 1957, Soviet scientists shocked the world by successfully launching the Sputnik 1, the first artificial satellite, beyond the Kármán Line (the boundary of space). This amazing breakthrough “rattled American self-confidence”. It cast doubts on America’s vaunted scientific superiority and raised some sobering military questions.”
In August of 1835, The New York Sun newspaper published a series of fantastical articles outlining the findings of famous astrologist John Herschel supposedly published in The Edinburgh Journal of Science. This series of articles falsely claimed that Herschel had constructed a new powerful telescope, giving him the ability to observe life on the moon. Although this claim would immediately be dismissed as ludicrous in today's society, it was actually widely accepted by the general public of its day. Afterall, society in 1835 looked very different than 2018 society. The fields of science, technology, and religion at the time were sufficient to see the Great Moon Hoax as credible. In 1835,
The television broadcast of the Apollo 11 lunar-landing on July 20, 1969 had a significant impact by creating a sense of community on a national, international, and global level. During the broadcast of the first lunar landing, Americans experienced a moment of unity and patriotism in the midst of societal issues and geopolitical conflict. The Apollo 11 broadcast also had a significant worldwide impact, surpassing international boundaries as people witnessed the first of mankind to set foot on another planet. Yet possibly the most remarkable and unforeseen effect of the moon-landing television broadcast was that it changed the public perspective of the world, showing people the relative fragility and insignificance of the Earth in the vast
The Roswell incident is one of the most publicized and well-known accounts of a possible UFO crash in the world. Perhaps the greatest evidence that a UFO did indeed crash near Roswell, is the wide scale military cover up that took place after the crash. This along with numerous eyewitness accounts of the crash site, prove that what ever happened in the summer of 1947, was certainly not a normal occurrence.
Do you believe in the moon landing conspiracy? There are various theories that skeptics compose to attempt to accuse NASA of faking the Apollo moon landings, although all these simple explanations will prove these theories wrong. The moon landing conspiracy was “claimed” to be a hoax since it was the only time the U.S. has ever landed on the moon was under Nixon’s administration, and the reason for this is after we finally made it to the moon the interest for the USSR else to make it there died out just like the flow of money that had been invested into the missions; skeptics attempt to say that it was faked since even with the technological advances we haven’t been back to the moon, but this is easily proven wrong by simply stating that the
The year before the moon landing, 1968, was one of the most violent and bitter years for American citizens. From the war in Vietnam to the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Americans had begun to lose faith in their divided nation. With the activist riots in Chicago over preventing the election of Lyndon B. Johnson’s Vice-President, Hubert Humphrey, America was filled social unrest until the next year. In 1969, the uplifting broadcast of Neil Armstrong landing safely on the moon had given confirmation that America could still rise from the distress and achieve greatness. The significance of the moon landing became a symbol for the American people of all their nation’s accomplishments.
