Did you know a mongoose and cobra, natural born enemies, have resemblances? Yes, there are a few and many interesting differences I will be telling you as well. In the following paragraphs, I will be sharing what I researched.
I have found that mongooses and cobras are similar in habits. In captivity, both a mongoose and a cobra live from eight-teen to twenty years. These animals are carnivores, meaning that they eat other animals. Also, they must be able to react to each other and have high reflexes. Both a mongoose and a cobra are species, a breed, meaning that there are different types of mongooses and cobras such as a black tree cobra and an Indian grey mongoose. These are the relationships I found between these two animals while researching for this project.

Now, as I have said there are a few similarities and much diversity between the animals. Mongooses are small mammals that look like a cat and a weasel mix. When they are born, like most mammals, they cannot see. Even though this happens they are independent to find their own colony after four to six months of being alive. A mongoose can grow to have a length of eight to twenty-six inches from head to the end of the tail. When running at full speed they can get up to twenty miles an hour, the average person can only run fifteen miles an hour in short bursts.
Cobras are the topic of this paragraph and I will be sharing facts about them. Cobras are long snakes with a hood that is on the back of its neck. As I said, Cobras are snakes, so they are also reptiles and they live in a group called a quiver. These snakes grow up to be three to twenty feet long and weigh from six ounces to 35 pounds. Cobras are on the endangered species list and labeled as vulnerable and are diminishing in numbers. Females lay between twenty to forty eggs, and incubation time, time, until they hatch, lasts between sixty to eighty
I cannot get that song of the brave Rikki Tikki Tavi the mongoose out of my head. A mongoose is a furry creature from India who kills cobras or other types of snakes and if its eyes get red, the mongoose is mad. Also the mongoose is a curious creature It is strange how similar the book is in the movie. Some of these similarities are the conflicts, the resolution and the rising action.
Burmese pythons (Python molurus) are popular pets in the United States because of their attractive color pattern, reputed docility, and the allure, for some, of owning a giant snake. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, approximately 99,000 Burmese pythons were imported to the United States between 1996 and 2006, compared to only 17,000 between 1970 and 1995. The species is classified by the World Conservation Union as “near threatened” in its native range in Southeast Asia due to exportation for the pet trade and hunting for skins. Thousands of pythons are also captive bred each year in the U.S. for sale as pets. An inexperienced snake keeper who takes home a 20-inch hatchling is, within a year, responsible for a brawny eight-foot predator.
The relationship of the three species and their ancestors can be summarized by looking at the fossils above. It is evident that all of these three species possess fangs and other types of sharp, prominent teeth. These analogous features indicate that there is some similarity in ancestry, since they all form part of the same family group, although they come from different genus. However, there is some difference in the shape of the head. The coyote possesses a straighter jaw and more angular head. The wolf, on the other side, has a wider denture similar to the fox. These three species also share Homologous structures, such as fangs, are present in these species. Another homologous structure is the legs and ribs, since they all have a similar
The snake’s calm demeanor when they first meet, his confidence and power, and his gruesome death help evoke sympathy in the reader. The reader’s first impression of the snake is that “he held his ground in calm watchfulness.” His stance was tense, but not threatening, as “his head was not drawn back to strike.” He does not intend to attack without being provoked; he
Did you know that a mongoose can kill a king cobra with just one bite to the neck? Rikki-Tikki-Tavi has been argued for being a vigilante, “any person who takes the law into his or her own hands, as by avenging a crime.” (dictionary.reference.com) because he killed three snakes. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is actually a hero because he sacrificed his life to ensure the safety of others and his family by killing three snakes.
Unfortunately in today's world we still hear about men who batter their women. These men, according to two psychology professors from the University of Washington, are divided into two different types: pit bulls and cobras. Pit bulls and cobras have both similar and different characteristics. The separation between those two types is important for the development of more effective treatment programs and the efforts of preventing domestic violence.
Mutualistic relationships occur between eagles and farmers when farmers begin to plant crops in their fields. When crops are planted, prey are attracted to the field to eat. Bald eagles will surround fields to prepare to eat the prey that come in. The eagle will eat the prey that are coming into the field benefiting it by providing energy to the bird, and the farmer benefits because his crops are protected and have the ability to

Although multifarious people may believe, that the Tasmanian devil is a vicious animal, they are not as vicious as they seem. These devils will feed off of other dead animals, and won’t go hunt for their food. Tasmanians are an endangered species. They are a carnivorous marsupial. Even though they look adorable, they are extremely fierce. The species scientific name is Sarcophilus Harrisii . (“Tasmanian Devil, Sarcophilus harrisii”).
Throughout several myths, monsters are described as many diverse creatures. At first glance, they all seem very distinctive. However, each monster is like a combination of several qualities and characteristics that are matched in different ways to form the monsters that appear in myths such as Hercules, Bellerophon, and Perseus. All monsters have very distinct looks that make them inferior to humans. Generally, they are a mixture of two or more different animals such as snakes, lions, or humans and they may have multiple heads. For example, Cerberus was a horrific three-headed dog that had the tail of a dragon and his back was covered with snakes. Several monsters have some part of them from a snake. Snakes symbolize an evil quality and that is why many monsters are forms of them. Cerberus had his whole back covered in snakes and a dragon tail. Both of these are snake-like parts that contribute to Cerberus looking terrifying. His tail is from a dragon which is very similar to a snake and his back is filled with snakes like fur. The Hydra of Lerna is also an im...
In the story, after Rikki Tikki Tavi was washed out of his burrow, he was found and loved by a little boy named Teddy and his parents. He knew how to act around humans because every mongoose including his mother wanted to be a house mongoose. He had some problems with a couple of local cobras named Nag and Nagaina. These were very poisonous snakes, who put Rikki’s family in terrible danger. Rikki Tikki Tavi was a very hero like character ,but there were sometimes that he did not demonstrate these qualities.
...hat the have a similar brain structure; behavior is way to species specific to be studied without the common thread of the brain.
The cobra’s are sly and strong but a mongooses are smart and brave in battle. The topic is the differences and samenesses of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi the book and the movie. There are many simple differences in the movie and book like instead of meat a banana, but there are larger differences in the way you see the characters. The three parts that will be compared are the problem , Climax, and Resolution of the book and movie.
The Triceratops (figure 1) was and herbivore that lived in the late Cretaceous period, which was around 125 million years ago. The Triceratops existed at least 66 million years ago. It was a Rhinoceros-like dinosaur that had a sturdy body structure. It had four legs, three horns, and big eyes. Triceratopses were very complex.
First, we shall discuss the similarities these two creatures share. One of the most obvious similarities between these two animals is that they both have hair and are domesticated animals kept as pets. They require love and affection from their owner, and return that love and affection if owners show it towards them. Another thing is
