Although its criteria doesn’t match up well against modern day comedy films, it’s actually refreshing. Since many comedy movies today are too vulgar, they lead you to either turn away or stop watching all together. This movie hints at sexual humor but does it in a mature manner. This may be because the target audience is directed more toward older adults, nonetheless I would like to see this exercised in more films. This film is likeable because it goes against what we’ve grown used to as far as comedic movies go. It demonstrates relatable humor, giving you ultimately a feeling of connection with the characters, also the acting talent is so accurate you at times actually feel sorry or even happy for the characters. Although this movies main purpose is to make you laugh, one can learn life lessons from this movie. For example you should always keep your charm, and stay humble during stressful times. Although it is a comedic film, it discusses real conflicts seen in people’s lives and gives a good name to the movie genre,
Overall I think that the show was worth seeing, even though I let my parents pick the film--which I will never do again by the way-- I think that it was a good production. It was a little boring at first, which might have just been because I didn’t really want to see it in the first place, but the storyline was pretty good. I personally like humor, so I tend to pick shows that I know will have some humor, but I’m proud of myself for seeing something outside of my comfort zone.
The content was relatable and connected well with the information and discussions that have been within our society for a long time. It was a well-done film that really questions the homophobic opinions and while this is still a very real debate in today’s society, the film does a great job at arguing the homophobic opinions.
Cast is important, but a good plot is crucial in the success of a film. So many movies have had great marketing and bombed because the plot was not good. I hate when I go to see a movie and the plot is not interesting. If I pay money for a movie, I want it to be worth it. In a comedy, I look for, a lot of, laughs. That is exactly what this movie gave me, it had it all. They had midgets, catching wives in bed with preachers and anything else you could look for to make you laugh. To fulfill this requirement on my movie list is very important. This movie did just that and exceeded the expectations I had for it.
In my opinion, this movie is boring and confusing for the first time but, from the second time, this movie starts reveal the fascination. At the first time, I do not like this movie so much but after I watched second time, I became to like this movie. If I asked
Lemire seems to really enjoy this movie and discusses the darker underlying tones that are completely overshadowed by the quirky and lighthearted comedic relief. She believes the film is unlike any other and that each actor, and even the director, is pushed to new extremes, which exceeds all expectations and with that kind of enthusiasm it would make anyone want to see Silver Linings Playbook.
Moreover, it is a palatable film. It offers a few solid laughs and will provoke some smiles; it’s a fairly typical, unremarkable comedy. While the original film had the breaking of racial stereotypes in mind, this updated version has it more in mind to have fun with them for the sake of the comedy. It is a romantic comedy that touches upon race relations following a fairly well established story-line. I would say that the one redeeming value of the film is the message of "seeing people, not color."
When deciding what movie to do for this particular paper I faced a few issues. I knew what the requirements were, but I wanted something different and something I could have fun watching and writing as well. So, after looking around and pondering movies for weeks I finally decided on a perfect choice The 60’s directed by Mark Piznarski?

" That is what this movie has from beginning to end, dignity.
Every scene is full of jokes and humor which keeps the film entertaining and interesting from the beginning to the end.
