Misconception of Islam

Many people have been led to the fact that Islam is violent, but all these people do not know the truth, they hear it by the famous people and believe it. The famous people have led other people to believe that all Muslims are risky to be near. I believe that because of these Muslim terrorists, media thinks that all Muslims or believers of Islam are disgraceful, which leads to everyone believing the media.

Many Muslim teenagers and children struggle with fitting in regardless of their religion or culture. In my opinion is that the kids should be able to express themselves and feel comfortable around others. I am also a Muslim and my family has also experienced it. If they wanted, they had the power of converting each and every non-Muslim in India to Islam. Today about 80% of the population in India are non-Muslims and all the non-Muslims in India today are a witness that Islam was not spread by the sword.

Nowhere does Islam or the Qu’ran (Holy book for Muslims) encourage the killing of innocent people. The Qu’ran itself says: "Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you but do not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors." (Qur’an Chapter 2: Verse 190) And also, "If they seek peace, then seek you peace. And trust in God for He is the One that heareth and knoweth all things." (Qur’an, Chapter 8: Verse 61).

In, conclusion, I would like to say that there have been many attacks caused by the Muslim terrorists, but Islam is not the reason behind it. The media says many things though they are not always 100% true. All human beings need to understand that all of us are different in our own unique way and we should not judge one another because of our
