My calling into ministry has been a two fold path. The first part of the path is one with small affirmations; The second part was a clear sign from God. This journey start with my family and more specifically my father. I grew up a Nazarene Pastor’s kid and my father has always been apart of the Nazarene church. Before my family and I moved to Eagle Rock Church of the Nazarene, we were apart of the Spanish congregation at Los Angeles First Church of the Nazarene. Here I aspired to be like my dad. I knew that I was going to be a Pastor of a church and an NFL player. I would also convince the NFL to move Sunday Games so I can preach on Sundays. Moving to Eagle Rock really shaped me into the man of God I am today. Here I matured quickly because no one my age, took Christianity as seriously as I did. This first half I dated Melanie Diaz and strayed far from the path that God had planned out for me. At this point in my life I did not want to be a pastor anymore. For me this lifestyle was unattractive. I told God that I would do anything but be a pastor. After breaking up with her I quickly aligned myself with God again. January of 2012 God gave me a vision. This year I was going to two mission trips. (The first was with my parents to Nicaragua and the second was with other high school students to Costa Rica.) In my dream my parents were in the back of an old truck going through a dirt road of Nicaragua. Various skeletons hung from in the truck, but in the dream we were not bothered by it. We get off at a cemetery and walk to a location that hasn 't been disclosed to me. On my way over I’m flooded with the image of a sheep and strong audible voice tells me to “Lead Them!.” In a panic a wake and tell God no. Because earlier on I made a deal with him. I will doing anything he wants just not be a pastor. After the dream I knew I had no choice, but to follow
