Part of that is because some people’s perspectives of celebrities allow them think as if they’re on a pedestal and are more important than the average human. When people vision these celebrities as these quintessential people it enable’s their own thoughts and opinions on the celebrity. It’s like brainwashing, these celebrities only show the media what they want, which allows them to put up a whole façade and mask who they truly are. During the O.J Simpson trial it opened more people’s minds to visualize the concept that celebrities have the ability to be just as deranged as the average person, and that we are all equal, but the only difference that’s separates us is the fact that their job is in the lime

As stated by The New York Times, an American daily newspaper founded and continuously published in New York City since September 18, 1851. “For a second year in a row Miley Cyrus generated a lot of attention at the MTV Video Music Awards, this time by sending 22-year-old homeless man to accept an award in her place to draw attention to homeless youth in the United States.” To put it another way, Miley Cyrus wanted to be the attention center in the middle of the MTV Video Music Awards so that all the people who were there, and also all the viewers, can see what she is doing for the less fortunate. However, I think that it does not matter if Miley Cyrus helped the homeless only to fix her reputation because her support to the homeless people is being known a an honorable action. It helped on young people to find the opportunities to step into resolving issues to be able to take accountability and move forward with their

Miley Cyrus has been a household name since the success of her hit show Hannah Montana. Long gone is the thirteen-year old girl who played America’s sweetheart on Disney Channel. Today the media portrays her as an out of control twenty-two year old superstar. The recent confrontation on the 2015 Video Music Awards with Nicki Minaj is a prime example of how Hannah Montana has turned herself into a thing of the past. The transformation from Hannah Montana to Miley Cyrus has caused her to change her appearance, morals, and music.
"Music is what I breathe, what I love to do. It keeps me alive, " Miley Cyrus once said. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, knew even as a baby, Miley could sing (Miley Cyrus Quotes). She has an extraordinary story. One day Miley was just a normal girl and what seemed like the next day, a pop star. She was introduced to fame at a very young age and is now still growing up in front of the world. She was born Destiny Hope Cyrus because her parents believed she would achieve greatness (Miley Cyrus Biography). They had a lot of hope and promise for their young daughter. Miley is one of the most successful kids from Disney and now she is rising to fame all on her own. It is hard having everyone watch your every move and being constantly photographed, but she deals with it because she loves what she does. Miley Cyrus has led a very unique life both through her childhood and teen life.
Continuing, she did a photoshoot for the cover of Vanity Fair, which resulted in controversy because parents did not want their daughters to imitate Miley. This was a precursor to Miley 's now reconstructed star text because she understood that controversy brought in a lot of attention, and she embraced it whether it was good or bad. That 's why she no longer wanted to be the stereotypical-looking woman, so she cut her hair short, got tattoos all over her body, and started dressing provocatively and doing nude photoshoots. She started to change up her songs from strictly pop and country music to doing R&B, rap, and unclassifiable genres. This led her to working with many people from all over the entertainment industry, predominantly with African Americans. Since changing genres, she started singing and rapping about partying and smoking marijuana, which she would be spotted doing with some of the rappers she rapped with. She made twerking, sticking one 's tongue out to the side, and foam fingers cool, which is apart of her controversial and outlandish brand. Overall, Miley Cyrus reconstructed her star text in order to stay relevant in today 's ever-changing
I have selected Britney Spears as my subject for the reason that I realize that she has been through so much in her life and has a tendency to convey her emotions radically and live life on the edge most of the times. Moreover, I find it simply fascinating to scrutinize Britney Spears’ personality by means of the Psychoanalysis so as to offer deeper comprehension in investigating her personality. Even though this process of personality analysis is hardly ever employed today due to a deficiency of empirical verification and a disappointment to deal with any adulthood impact on personality, the approach’s stress on childhood development is a long way from without foundation. It permits for a fascinating and vibrant examination of personality as it imparts a comprehensive description of why Britney’s id conquers her ego and superego in a majority of her decisions, as well as reciting her fixations within the oral stage of the psychosexual development. By exploring her defense mechanisms, from a spectator’s view it is apparent that she stays clear of anxiety-provoking stimuli by means of warping reality to her own terms. Taken as a whole, this assessment of Britney Spears’s personality does an excellent work via the psychoanalytic perspective as means to reveal/display a lucid conception of her outlook on the world and the connections with her relationships as to why she is this way at the moment.
In today’s world, celebrities are often misunderstood, especially singer/songwriter Robin Rihanna Fenty, referred to as Rihanna. Rihanna’s sexual behaviors in her videos have been talked about in negative ways for some time now, but what people do not understand is that it is all for fame. Celebrities will do anything to keep their careers going strong. If one really took the time out to take a deep look at Rihanna, they will notice how humble she really is. After going through the abusive relationship with Chris Brown, Rihanna has struggled with gaining that strong confidence in who she is.
With donating to over 30 different charities a piece both these ladies are true humanitarians. Beyoncé was an Ambassador for the 2005 World Children’s Day, and in true musician fashion made a song that is now played every year on November 20th called “Stand Up For Love”. She is not the only one using her music to give back. “On May 23, 2011, Taylor performed a benefit concert for victims of recent tornadoes in the United States southeast region. The concert raised more than $750,000” (Looking to the Stars n.d.). They together support the same charities like Feeding America, MusiCares, and UNICEF. They also have both started their own charities like The Taylor Swift Charitable fund and Beyoncé’s Survivor Foundation. These women have pledged and donated millions to help individuals in
The last path is to reinvent themselves. According to Smalley and McIntosh, reinventing is when the celebrity “doesn’t attempt to capitalize on their former fame by becoming their public self”, and also requires a “strong core self that remains relatively intact through their fame”(Smalley and McIntosh, 391). Conveniently Miley possesses both qualities. All Miley’s life she wanted to be a role model to her audience, whether it be a positive/negative role model for young preteens or young women. Also she exclaims no further interest in the identity given to her by Disney, but rather wanted to reveal his true self. While interviewed by the Daily Star Sunday Cyrus has discusses her true feelings about her public-given ego given by her role given by Disney stating “they try to make someone not grow up, but you can’t do that to real, normal people.”(Celebuzz). Miley wanted to no longer be seen as an immature teenager, but redefine herself as a mature women to be taken seriously after her prominent role in Hannah Montanna. Therefore, Miley Cyrus has completely pivoted from being a Disney star and did a 180 degree turn toward becoming an infamous “Wild Child”. “I went from people just thinking I was, like, a baby to people thinking I’m this, like, sex freak that really just pops molly and does lines all day. It’s like, ‘Has anyone ever heard of rock ’n’ roll?’ (Huffington Post). However, she doesn’t do these controversial things for her personal benefit, she does it for her publicity. Perhaps later in her career when she actually becomes mature, and loses her fame, she will attempt to regain it back by becoming a role model for adult females who have the ability to demonstrate female equality. With the ever increasing support of feminism currently happening in the United States she could become a women’s advocate once her singing career is over.
She has also been involved with a lot of charity work. She has worked with 25 charities. She has also fought for many causes, 27 to be exact. As you can see, she is a good role model because she likes to give back to people in need. (http://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/taylor-swift#related-news)
