Media plays a big part the routine of everyday life. Images, shows, commercials, music and radio all play a big role in life. Such a big role that it effects perspective and persuades people to certain agendas and messages that is not always clears out right. How do messages get across? Visual imagery and subliminal and supraliminal persuasion are three theories that play a big role in what is affecting everyday thought processes. Supraliminal persuasion happens when something viewed or heard subconsciously persuades a person to act in a certain manner or influence a decision. This is often confused with subliminal messaging. The ministry touches upon certain celebrity influences that make both adult and children susceptible to certain messages and agendas. In the case of Miley Cyrus, there is a video that talks about her transformation and her use as a sex promoter. In “Miley Cyrus: Perverted Sex Pusher?” the narrator talks about Cyrus’ transformation from Disney sweetheart to a corrupting influence. The narrator talks about Miley Cyrus’ “We can’t Stop” music video popularity, which was called “subversive, mesmerizing, unhinged” in an entertainment news magazine. He goes on to define subversion to make a point that her music is corrupting the youth in using drugs and being sexually promiscuous (“Miley Cyrus”). GoodFight ends each of the videos to a more positive look, directing and calling to people to turn to Christ, using scripture.
