Milestones in Cell Phone Development

After the first commercial cell phone introduced in 1983, which was very popular and demand was increasing exponentially. This phone also has some disadvantages like mobile phone was bulky and expensive with minimum talk time. So many companies then started their research on eradicating the drawbacks and fulfilling the some needs of customer for pocket mobile phone from hand portable phone. So in 1986 a company called technophone created a world’s first mobile phone to fit into the pocket and thus this phone shaped both GSM and DTI phones after this creation.
Following are the milestones after the first commercial cell phone introduced that significantly affected the growth.

1st milestone
First milestone I think is the introduction of 2G technology. This technology has overpower 1G technology in terms of user phone experience, size, cost and many more. The first GSM mobile, Orbitel 901 was introduced in 1992. During this year great improvement in field of mobile phone technology was made. It was also the first to receive a commercial SMS text message. Soon the SMS become communication mean amongst the young. Technology has moved from first generation to second generation. The technology too has changed during the era where the first cell phone went on sale. When this first cell phone was introduced it worked on analog technology but this GSM mobile worked on Digital technology which was faster and much quieter than its analog precursor. Hence the popularity of this phone in terms of number of users, calling frequency, less dropped call, was much higher than his predecessor. ... was increasing for mobile user and internet on mobile phone was big flop in year 2008. With the increasing internet population and massively growing mobile population, they have merged together and made the internet on mobile phone a compelling experience for users.

I conclude it by saying that the few main things that attracted people to go for a mobile phone were the operating system, like android being the most user friendly and not forgetting iOS and many more, secondly the capacitive touch screens and the width of the screens like sometimes the user interface is built around the device's multi-touch screen, including a virtual keyboard, WiFi connectivity and cellular connectivity like 3G,4G, etc, phones with higher resolution mainly known as "retina display", the camera specifications and most importantly the look which is also given a higher priority often.
