Michelle Rodriguez Born on July 12, 1978 Michelle Rodriguez is an American actress known for doing tough roles in movies. She was born in Bexar County, Texas. Her full name is Mayte Michelle Rodriguez and she is the daughter of Carmen Milady and Rafael Rodriguez Santiago. Michelle lived in Texas for 8 years and then she and her family went to Dominican Republic and they lived there for 2 years. She was only 11 years old when her family moved again and this time to New Jersey. Apart from being an actress, she is also a screenwriter and DJ. Michelle was a tough girl from the start and she knew that she was born for something great. Initially in 1999 she appeared in a couple of movies, Summer of Sam and Cradle will Rock. It didn’t take her much time to step up to the big game when she auditioned for the lead role for Girlfight (2000). There were more 350 women who auditioned for the role but Michelle managed to outshine them and she finally got the role of Diana Guzman. After that she was noticed and got various awards for that movie. Then in 2001 she was selected for the role of Letty Ortiz for the movie fast and furious. Then she became an important part of the fast and furious franchise that is why she is still working with them. She also appeared in Blue Crush, Resident Evil, S.W.A.T and several other movies. …show more content…
