He also highlights the progress and prosperity that have arisen in the western world since the division between communism and democracy was established. Pope Francis ' speech to Congress on September 25th 2015 was remarkable in many ways. It was an historically significant because for the first time a Pope was invited to address the United States Congress. When he stood before the assembly he was flanked by two prominent American Catholics, Vice President Joe Biden and Speaker of the House John Boehner. However, Pope Francis was not there to speak only to the Catholic members of the audience, his message was universal and encompassing for all. "I would like to dialogue with all of you." Just as other works that reflect art, pieces in the category of fine arts serve the important message of passing certain messages or portraying a special feeling towards a particular person, function or activity. At times due to the nature of a particular work, it can become so valuable that its viewers cannot place a price on it. It is not the nature or texture of an art that qualifies it, but the appreciation by those who look at it (Lewis & Lewis, 2008).

Michelangelo lived from 1475-1564. He was arguably one of the most inspired creators in the history of art. As a sculptor, architect, painter, and poet, he had a tremendous influence on his contemporaries and on following Western art in general. Michelangelo’s father, a Florentine official named Ludovico Buonarroti with connections to the ruling Medici family, placed his 13-year-old son in the workshop of the painter Domenico Ghirlandaio. After about two years, Michelangelo studied at the sculpture school in the Medici gardens and shortly thereafter was invited into the household of Lorenzo de’ Medici. He became acquainted with such humanists as Marsilio Ficino and the poet Politian, who were frequent visitors. Michelangelo produced at least two sculptures by the time he was 16 years old, the Battle of the Centaurs and the Madonna of the Stairs. This shows that he had achieved a personal style at a very early age. His patron Lorenzo died in 1492, two years later Michelangelo fled Florence, when the Medici family was temporarily expelled. He settled for a time in Bologna where he sculpted several marble statuettes.
