“I was a veteran, before I was a teenager” (Michael Jackson). This quote sang throughout Jackson’s life due to his induction and submersion into the music industry at such a young age, as it says, before he was an adolescent. Michael Jackson created a new era of Pop music, and crowned himself as the king. He used persistence to innovate new ways to overcome numerous challenges, such as his scandalous trial, and his struggle with perfectionism. Despite his hindrances, he successfully illuminated several generations during his time, and even after his unfortunate death in 2009.

Michael Jackson created when he was an adult, and when he was a child. As a child, he was in a Pop/R&B group called the Jackson 5. This consisted of Michael and his brothers, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Although claiming to be innocent of any wrongdoing, Michael settled the case for some $20 million. Despite his close friends ensuring innocence and support throughout the world, his lack of proof of innocence allowed the scandal to penetrate to a major endorsement deal with Pepsi and several movies in which he was to be in. He again was backlashed with controversy when he married Lisa Marie Presley (the daughter of Elvis Presley) in 1994, when he faced lyrical criticism by Steven Spielberg, his divorce to Presley and remarriage to Debbie Rowe, his divorce to Rowe, a lawsuit with 2 Seas Records, and when he dangled his son Prince Michael Jackson II over a German hotel balcony.
