Michael Joseph Jackson was an African American male. He was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana. His mother worked at sears part time. His father Joseph Jackson was a crane operator at the U.S Steel. Having been a guitarist, he molded his sons into a musical group in the early 1960's, when he discover their gifted talents for music. In the beginning the group only involved Michael's older brothers: Ito, Jermaine and Jackie. Michael joined his siblings when he was five years old, and became lead vocalist. They older brother Marlon join the group as well. They was known as the Jackson 5. Michael impressed audiences with his remarkable voice. He was a natural center of attention. He love to dance and sing and had a soulful expression. He was the focus of attention during the Jackson 5 performance. In the beginning of their career the Jackson 5 played local gigs. Joseph enter them in talent contests that they hardly won. In 1966 Joseph made the Jackson 5 perform in Gary's Black night clubs and even some in chicago. These night clubs served alcohol and even had strippers. Michael recalled standing in the wing of one of these night clubs and watched a lady name Mary Rose perform. He watched as she would take her clothes off and throw her panties at the audience. Jackson 5 would watch and watch, taking it all in and their father seem to not care at all. Joseph Jackson wanted the group to be successful and his methods was known to be violent. It was set to begin July 8, 2009, at the O2 Arena in London, England. Michael Jackson never got to finish his comeback tour. On June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson died after suffering cardiac arrest in his Los Angeles home. He was 50 years old. Memorials to Michael Jackson were erected around the world. On July 12, 2009, a televised memorial was held for fans of the "King of Pop" at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. People around the world felt grief, sympathy and many people cried. September 3, 2009, the Jackson family held a private funeral. A sad tragic for a legendary.
