● Miami Dade College- Is located in Miami, Florida. It is the 8th largest college in the U.S founded & founded in 1959. The College initially implemented an open admissions policy, meaning anyone who could afford classes was allowed to enroll. In 2003, the College was granted the right to award baccalaureate degrees in education. Miami Dade offers three bachelor's degrees. As a result, the College changed its name again from Miami-Dade Community College to Miami Dade College to reflect a four-year degree could be obtained.

For almost two hundred years, Historically Black Colleges and Universities or HBCUs have played a pivotal role in the education of African-American people, and negro people internationally. These schools have provided the majority of black college graduates at the Graduate and Post-Graduate level; schools such as Hampton University, Morehouse University, Spellman University and Howard University are four universities at the forefront of the advanced education of blacks. For sometime there has been a discussion on whether or not these institutes should remain in existence or if they are just another form of racism. There were also concerning the quality of education provided at these institutions. In my opinion, from the evidence provided in our own world today, HBCUs are very important and significant in the education of black people throughout the nation, and are essential to our society.
It is noted that the largest and most popular higher education institutions is the two-year community college which originated as junior colleges in the late 19th and 20th century.

The Dallas County Community College District was created in 1965 when Dallas County voters voted to create Dallas County Junior College District and the founding Chancellor, Dr. Bill J. Priest, was chosen to lead. It is a non-profit two-year college system located within Dallas County limits. Starting with one campus located in downtown Dallas, the DCCCD has grown to seven campuses with five community education campuses located across Dallas County and giving many locations options to the residents of Dallas County. The name was changed in 1972 to its current form. The DCCCD offers online classes and this expands the availability of higher education and job training. The DCCCD is individually accredited through the seven main campuses by the Southern Association of Colleges and School Commission on Colleges and goes through the reaccreditation process every ten years. DCCCD offers college classes to earn an associate degree and/or transfer to a four-year institution that offers a bachelor’s degree. In addition,
Whereas, Ms. Boswell is a product of the Miami Dade County public system. While attending Miami Northwestern Senior High School, Ms. Boswell excelled both academically and socially. Upon graduating, Ms. Boswell began her employment with the State of Florida working in the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation on July 1, 1971. One does not have to graduate high school and go straight to a four-year university. It is sometimes better for a student to go to a community college and focus on transfer courses, or simply get an Associate’s Degree. On the other hand, there are young adults that prefer to leap straight into a university and focus on the specific program for their Bachelor’s Degree. Although they are both a lot alike, there are many differences between the two. Universities are known for having large campuses; consequently, resulting in large number of students in each class.

To Kill a Mockingbird, the novel by Harper Lee embodies a work of Southern literature, set in the 1930s in a small town in Alabama. The book’s genre exemplifies a coming-of-age historical fiction story. The narrator, a young girl named Scout Finch, describes the lessons she and her brother Jem learn when their father, a lawyer named Atticus, defends an African American man who stands accused of raping a white woman. The novel’s premise revolves around the efforts of a father raising his children and guiding them in their moral development. Along the way, the book deals with the themes of courage, prejudice and maturity. These three concepts are defined differently by Atticus than by most of the other people in the town where he lives. According to Atticus, courage means doing what remains as right and resisting what remains as wrong, even if other people oppose you. In contrast to the prejudice of the townspeople, Atticus believes it important to treat everyone equally. Maturity, in Atticus’ view, refers to having a sense of conscience and seeking to protect those who remain innocent. As these definitions show, Atticus Finch displays a strong sense of ethics. His goal as a parent remains to pass his values on to his children. This paper will argue that Scout and Jem learn the true meanings of courage, prejudice and maturity through the influence of their father and the example he sets for them.

I agree with … that community college is a real college because students have to work really hard to earn their real diplomas and get real jobs. Many students try to transfer from community college to cal states, or real university to get bachelor degree, while students who are going to community college enroll in a real work force program and get more experiment to go straight to real jobs. For example, I had a bestfriend who was major in nursing. She has participated in a nursing program in a college where she studying. At there, she learned both the theory and practice. With her hard work trying to learning, she was practicing at a hospital. After she finish two years in college, she got a associate degree for nursing and she was admitted
