The first constitution, spread in 1824, giving state legislators the power to elect both the president and the vice president. A result of this constitution, caused a series of weak presidents struggled to form an effective government.
During this time, Mexico’s political elite began to divide into two opposing factions: conservatives and liberals. The conservatives favored a highly centralized government and wanted to maintain the Catholic Church’s power and control of educational facilities.
The liberals wanted a federation of states that was not strictly controlled by a central government. They also sought to limit the power of the Catholic Church, foster public education rather than church-controlled education, and institute social reforms.
Vicente Guerrero, became president in 1829, but was shot and killed in 1831 by forces led by conservative political and military leader Anastasio Bustamante. Revolt followed revolt until 1833, when Antonio López de Santa Anna was elected president.
In 1834 a political crisis resulted in the overthrow of the constitution of 1824. A new centralist constitution, which stripped the Mexican states of their autonomy, was enacted in 1836. Protests against centralization encouraged the Texans to rebel against Mexican authority in 1835, in what came to be known as the Texas Revolution.

The Nike commercial is set in black and white throughout the scenes, the statement “you’re not supposed to be here” is continually being said. The music sounds like preachers from a church who are meant to uplift their audience and bring hope which fits the tone perfectly. Each scene builds up to LeBron James shooting his jump shot move that he ultimately became famous for and afterword’s joined the NBA. In some scenes, you can hear the actors speaking in an aggressive tone, there is a scene where a coach for the boys’ basketball team is giving them a pep talk and you can see he is upset or yelling so loud that you can see a gleam of spit shoot out of the coach’s mouth. The boy’s faces are concentrated and focused on what he is saying. A different example would be from another scene a girls’ team Is playing and one has the ball she passes it to another team member and the person she passes to doesn’t make it in the net. You see a girl scream, “ just shoot the ball” and the other girls face just looks
All of these large changes in social positions and styles of government did not go without violent consequences. Several wars occurred over this time frame these include the war between Mexico and the United States, the Triple Alliance War and the Chaco War to name a few. Most of these were fought over land and territories owned by the respective countries. Often they were caused by the very Liberal tendencies that were becoming more prevalent in the previous paragraphs. Countries that need to be competitive in a global marketplace require fertile and productive land and natural

Standing tall in the middle of a college gym, basketball in hand and a determined look in my face, the floodgates open and a tsunami of screaming children come rolling onto the hardwood. This was the start of my summer as a youth basketball coach. My primary goal as a coach was not to be a demanding boss, but be an encouraging teammate. When I played basketball in elementary school, I always cherished my teammates who would share not only the ball, but their sportsmanship and happiness, on and off the court. Above all, I wanted to reflect this mentality through my positive coaching. My quest to become the best coach began during our first match, when I saw the biggest problem with my team: everyone wanted the ball, but no one wanted to share. At once, I taught my teammates how much of a secret weapon passing can be.
This Nike advertisement is showing the audience how their products can be used in a wide variety of sports and activities, by showing a kid running around town getting asked to join in on different activities while using different Nike products. The bold, in your face, white lettering demands attention, against a solid black backdrop. Using all capital text, Nike is seemingly yelling at its audience with an authoritative voice to “Just Do It”. As if a mother was instructing her child to do chores, and ending his/her rebuttal before it has been voiced, by saying “Period. End of story. Just do it”, the enormous period in the ad is emphatic. Instead of the Nike symbol being the main focus, by making the words appear larger than the well-known sign, the message is presented as the imperative idea, which leads the spectator to feel as if they are being encouraged to be active more so than to buy Nike products.

At the age of 40 in 1896, Sigmund Freud introduced the world to a new term- psychoanalysis (Gay 1). Psychoanalysis is a method of treating patients with different nervous problems by involving them in dialogues which provide the physician with insight into the individual’s psyche. These dialogues provided the basis for Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, which “attempts to explain personality, motivation, and psychological disorders by focusing on the influence of early childhood experiences, on unconscious motives and conflicts, and on the methods people use to cope with their sexual and aggressive urges” (Weiten 363). Part of this theory involves the structure of the mind. This is a concept that touches on human nature itself and attempts to explain the motives behind human behavior.
