The Mexican Revolution began on 1910. This revolution ended dictatorship in Mexico. In that time lots of groups led by revolutionaries including Francisco Madero, Pascual Orozco, Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata. Francisco Madero deserves the title of “Father of the Mexican Revolution” because he was the one that set off the spark to the Mexican Revolution. During the 1900’s, Mexico was ruled under the power of Porfirio Diaz. He caused Mexico a lots of economic and social issues. In 1908 President Diaz said that he thinks Mexico is ready for democracy so he will step down in 1910. After people heard about this Mexican people were getting ready for an election. Diaz actually had no intention of leaving all these power, so even after 1910 he decided not to step down from presidency. …show more content…

Madero’s campaigning was an instant success. He was rich because of his family’s wealth. Diaz had promised that there would be free elections for everyone even peasants. No Re-election was the slogan of Madero and his Anti-re-electionist Party. Diaz didn’t like that Madero’s followers increased. So Diaz disrupted his campaign every way he could. At the end at the end Diaz send Madreo and all his prisoners in prison; because of that Madero couldn’t run for election so Diaz won through corruption. Soon after Madero was released. After that Madero went to San Antonio, Texas. He wrote his “plan de dan Luis potosi”, about how Diaz won the election through corruption, promising political reform, free elections, and no re-election principle. He wrote “Plan de San Luis Potosi” for Mexicans to rise up against the government and for the elections to be reversed and also to take up arms against
