Since the past hundred years, the word “Mexican” has been derogatory not only for immigrants, but for everyone whose race is not white. The image of Mexicans as thief and uncivilized people became part of the public beliefs in California. The debate between Mexicans and Americans is present today, putting in risk the economy and social rights from America. Racism has been part of human culture since a group of Anglo-Saxon began to spread their worldview and beliefs in the 1848´s. Death and hostility are the main issues discussed in our decade because of the intolerance between race and ethnics.

Because a lot of people resisted against the Anglo-American point of view, criminality was on the top of everyday life. Execution manifested against Mexican people causing hundred of death because of the hatred between both sides. “The “Monte Boys” sought to become the “recognized disciplinarians” of all Mexicans, who they assumed “harbored and assisted” criminals and therefore encouraged criminality. This process tended to criminalize all of la gente Mexicana” (Monroy, 209).
The criminalization against Mexican people has been around since the 1840´s. Racism and hostility against this race is a big problem in today´s way of life. Not only Mexicans have been assaulted by people who think their heritage is better than the others, but everyone who has different culture, worldview, and skin color are been killed or traumatized. Is important to acknowledge past events in history in other to understand big issues in today´s life, but is important to stop violence against people like Mexicans, who have fought for their rights against orthodox
