I love how Raquel included the fact that she failed. That failure is going to happen often. If everything were a success, your mental toughness would never be challenged! In my paper regarding strength assessments from the Rath’s Strengths Finder 2.00 (Rath) I learned how it can improve the development of my leadership. About a year ago I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment (The Myers & Briggs Foundation); I was identified as an ENTJ and ENFJ (split personality). I recently took another assessment detailing with my style (Style Analysis). The strength finder 2.0 assessment defined my top five leadership strengths; the Myers Briggs defined my personality; and this new assessment defining my style behavior. These assessments are very valuable in knowing who I am as a leader. Leadership is about getting others to accomplish goals bigger than themselves. That requires motivation. Now that I understand more about myself and my leadership style, how can I use this knowledge to motivate and persuade others?
Mental toughness is the ability that one has to keep themselves motivated without losing confidence. Elie had a lot of mental strength. He lost his mother and two sisters which didn’t make him cry. Neither did that stop him from fighting for himself. Elie was with his father most of his time at the concentration camps. His father was weak and close to dying. Elie did not let that get to him either. When Elies father died: Elie didn’t break down and lose himself. He felt rather free: "I did not weep, and it pained me that I could not weep. But I had no more tears. And, in the depths of my being, in the recesses of my weakened conscience, could I have searched it, I might perhaps have found something like- free at last" (Wiese 106.) Elie was really strong to keep his feelings aside. He knew crying won’t let him win the race in survival. As for losing his father, that just gave him more strength because it was a burden off his shoulders. In order to survive, they had to keep themselves going emotionally. Radasky also had mental toughness. In the introduction of his interview he mentions: “No! You have to fight for yourself day by day. Some people did not care. They said, "I do not want to live. What is the difference? I don 't give a damn." I was thinking day by day. I want to live. A person has to hold on to his own will, hold on to that to the last minute” (Radasky 1) these words of wisdom
When setting a physical fitness program to complement our physical state of health, scrutiny should also be given to the definitive outcome this can, and in most cases will have a mental fitness level as well.
In conclusion, we learn in life we have to face these challenges in each accomplishment to give us a sense of unity through our family members. In life, we have to go through these challenges everyday and some days it will be easy and some days it will not but as long as we have our friends, family and friends to point us to the right direction we can achieve basically anything we want too. Life there will be things that will hurt us or we can't be able to due, but we will soon overcome all these challenges in life and it will open a new doors for us.

Strength is not about being a tough guy and being able to bench two hundred pounds. It is okay to be strong and still be scared. People can cry and still be strong. To be strong is not just about having a hard exterior. Strength is being able to overcome the problems life will throws at humanity, and society needs true personal, mental, and spiritual strength to overcome it. I am an ISTJ with unique personality strengths and weaknesses. My strengthens are being hardworking, productive, efficient, and driven (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002, p. 306). In opposition, being compulsive, inexpressive, and driven by routines are my weaknesses (Kroeger et al, 2002, pp. 308-309).
