Since my childhood, I have had a strong attachment on science, I dreamed to work in the lab and helped others. I grew up with my grandmother and I was always with her during her Doctor’s appointment and anytime the Doctor asked for blood work. I was so curious about this, I always asked myself what are they doing with this blood they take? I asked myself so many questions about this. My desire for this field increased at thirteen year old after my grandmother passed away after a wrong diagnosed which held to a wrong medication. After that tragic event in my life, I promised myself to be a well- known medical technologist in this world. Medical technology for me is the best and noble career ever in the way it is a combination of loving science and saving people’s lives, helping others. This field play a crucial work in the medical teamwork of doctors, practitioners and the healthcare team. Because there is always advances in clinical laboratory, you learn every day in this field. As a knowledgeable aspect in the medical field, medical technology lead you to a wide- ranging …show more content…
To be adequately trained so that I enter the work force with appropriate skills such as handle multitasks and job pressures. Master various skills such as hematology, blood bank, clinical chemistry, microbiology and many more to prepare myself for the board examination and most important saving people’s lives. In addition, once in this major, I would like to use both theories and practical knowledges I will learn both in class and in clinical to well apply principles of medical technology. My objective is to be professionally prepared not only with the skills and attitudes necessary but also with integrity so that I can easily integrate the job community. Being someone who growth in everything I do, I will also like to be taught on how to use knowledges gained in this field to professionally
I have been in healthcare for about 6 years now. I started off as a nutritionist in a hospital setting, working with patients of all health statuses. I worked closely with doctors to determine what meal plan would best suit each patient. I went to work day after day to meet a new group of patients who were previously admitted the night before; very rarely did I work long term with one particular patient. Although I enjoyed helping people change their eating habits and educating them on how to better their health, at the end of the day I felt like there was something missing; I wanted more.
Attending Florida Southwestern State College to become an x-ray tech is a huge accomplish for me. Because I have a learning disability unfortunately I have to take remedial courses like intermediate algebra, Brush up English, and a reading course the first semester. The good thing about studying Radiology is you can switch to any type of jobs in this field. For an example, you can switch to working with MRI’s or Cat Scans if you want to try another department in the Radiology field. This specific field is for you to work with x-rays. It’s important to know the bone structure .You can work with ultrasounds to, Cat Scans, to MRI’s (Magnetic resonance imaging).
Surgical Technicians are needed tremendously for a surgical procedure to run smoothly. For surgeries, hospitals and offices are staffed with a trained medical team ready to take action when they are needed too. The most important position beside the surgeon is, a Surgical Technician. ‘A Surgical Technician can be related to how they interact with a patient, how they prepare the tools and operating room for surgery, along with their ability to assist and react to the needs of a surgeon.”
I want to learn more about the medical field. I am very fascinated in the science aspects. You need to be attentive; sensitive to people’s needs and have a drive to address their needs in an utmost concerned manner. It is one of those jobs that require long working hours and often one must overlook one’s needs and cater to patients. I am a sensitive and very hard-working individual.
How do Surgical Technicians help in the process of organ donation? What a Surgical Technician does during an organ harvest for an organ donation is vast. They help in organ donation in many ways. They help by handing the harvesters the instruments they need and the supplies they also need. Also they help by putting the organs in transportation containers so the organs do not go bad.
In the future, I wish to obtain an occupation in the medical field. I would like to start out by working for a Biology major and working in a premedical field in college where I can use my interest in medicine and my curiosity for knowledge to gain insight that would be needed to become a helpful doctor in the medical field. As I move along in my career, I would like to work my way through the pathway so that I can expand my skills in healing others, such as diagnostic abilities, effectively giving treatment and so on. I want to learn as much as possible so I can fulfill my ultimate dream of helping others that need answers to their medical problems and so that more people can live happily and healthily in the world. I hope to bring happiness to others and allowing people to live comfortably.
My personal mission is to improve people’s lives through medicine and care and make world a healthier place by using my skills and coming up with innovative ideas to manage healthcare organizations. There are two goals which need to be accomplished: One is the short term goal which is to be accomplished in a short period, say a year or few months. My short term career objective is to complete my Masters degree in Administrative Science with good grades which will reflect in my resume. Second is the long term goal: what I want to do in the next 5 years and where I want to be at the end of the fifth year by effectively shaping my future in an organization. My objective is to be a Healthcare Services Administrator of a healthcare organization such as hospital or public health department. My degree of Administrative Science with specialization in Global Health and Human Services will help me to develop skills to manage a healthcare facility effectively and efficiently, as well as my human resources skills will help me manage and work with people. This will guide me to achi...
Science has always been a strong interest of mine and I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field especially the technological advancements within the medical sector such as X-ray, CT scan, MRI and ultrasound. A degree in radiography contains a combination of science and technology which makes it the perfect course and career choice for me because I gained Diploma of Medical Science and I like to put the knowledge I have learnt into practice. I have a particular interest in physics, anatomy and physiology, as it gives me an understanding of radiation and the bodily processes involved in radiography. My passion in this field developed when I was working as care assistant in accident and emergency department
The advantages of using technology in healthcare are far too many to enumerate. As we become more and more dependent on intelligent machines in the medical field, computation technology, specifically, will have a vital role to play in the coming years. They simplify the design process of medical equipment (like prosthetics, stents, pacemakers, etc.), help simulate the effects of a particular device or drug on the human body, consolidate & manage patient records in a central database, etc. Computers are also living up to the challenge of fulfilling out ever-increasing demands of precision and efficiency.
In the near future, the world will see an unbelievable change in the medical field, even more than it already has. Technology has made work faster and more efficient. Technology has also improved many people's lives and will continue to keep getting better. With the ever-evolving technology, the disputable subjects may change, and it is the physician's job to prove the worth of the matter and what is ethical or not. Extraordinary people are finding new cures and better ways to test for diseases.
I started to explore the different fields of medicine by working as a Medical Scribe in the Emergency Department, ER tech in Trauma Centers, getting involved in research, volunteering at hospitals and taking high level science classes. This will enhance my knowledge and experience i...
Healthcare and technology were living separately for years but now they both go hand in hand. I strongly feel that when healthcare and technology meet the outcome is unprecedented. This program gives a platform where I can do something constructive in the field of healthcare. With the help of technology, doctor’s availability to remote and rural areas has also increased, and they are now within the reach of patients through mobile phones in case of emergency. I am also a firm believer that it is never too late to study or to learn anything new.
This article highlights the creative technology and its uses in medicine today. There are examples and comparisons on the useful and destructive ways technology has impacted society. The author speaks directly about the benefits of improved technology in healthcare as well as a wide range of other fields. This source will help support my claims of how medical technology has improved by providing descriptive facts.

Technology encourages students to be current with modern science and progress to develop research for further development. Susan Reese, author of “Excellence in Engineering Technology Education,” states that bring technology through teaching allows “relevance to the learning process by simulating a realworld, high-tech workplace” (26). Furthermore, the education will allow biomedical engineers to promote better healthcare. In his article, “Health Information Technology: One Step at a Time”, Mark E. Frisse concludes the “goal is to improve the safety and quality of care not simply to automate systems” (380). The intention of many biomedical engineers is to complete a higher education degree to improve current and future situations in the medical field.
