A few of the reasons I would like to join the Medical Laboratory Technician course are because As a student in High school I excelled at science and biology. When looking at career opportunities that will involve my interests a medical laboratory technician one because of the amount of biology and science that will always be involved with the work. Medical Laboratory Technicians must pay great attention to small details which is something that I enjoy doing. When looking for a career I need one that will offer both security and stability and the career path I have chosen does just that. I am very excited to enter into the medical field and a job such as a medical laboratory technician does not require several years of college to do so. I
Ranked third by U.S. News and World Report on the list of “Best Health Care Jobs of 2017”, the Physician Assistant career has a 96 percent job-satisfaction rate, and represents one of the fastest growing jobs in the nation. Created as a position to relieve the job shortage of primary care physicians, Physician Assistants first came to be in the mid-1960s. Since then, the number of PAs in practice has just about doubled with every decade helping to improve health care not just nationally, but on a global level as well. Physician Assistants are licensed to practice medicine, prescribe medication, treat chronic illnesses, and assist in surgery in all 50 states under supervision of a physician. Although some medical practitioners perceive the role

With many medical careers students often get confused on what they really want to study, I have faced this problem myself and I know is not that easy due too many choices. There are many options ranging from healthcare to medical jobs. I have thoughtfully chosen to enter the program for Medical Assistant (MA). Ever since I was a child, I’ve spent most of childhood years at the Hospital, I was diagnosed with a rare condition that had to be treated continuously, this meant that I had to be going to checkups every three months so I was close to doctors, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologist, medical assistants, etc. I remember at first I was frightened just of the thought of going to the doctor but after a few visits I got used to. The doctors and nurses were nice and caring and made me feel comfortable that I end up enjoying my doctor’s visits every time. Since then I decided I wanted to work in the medical field, this is my goal since I can remember. I have always enjoyed helping people in any way I possibly can. I chose to be a Medical Assistant because I think is great way to start my medical career going and programs are practical and not long.
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
1. Many people have multiple reasons why they want to be able to help others in their everyday jobs. My attraction to being a Speech Language Pathologist is because I want to be able to people overcome their speech problems. As a Speech Language Pathologist I want to be able to help people that have speech problems, overcome this problem and be able to be independent without needing the help of myself or other people that are trying to talk to them. I personally know their feelings and have actually been in their shoes to know how frustrating life can be trying to talk and have someone else talk for you.
Being a medical assistant is the best job for me based off of the work environment, education and training, important qualities, and salary and job outlook. I still have interest in this job because my qualities seem to be what’s needed for this job. The pay for this job is good enough to support a family. I also think that I would enjoy working with other people. I would take the courses such as biology, chemistry, and anatomy in high school. I probably would talk to my parents about this job because of the classes that are needed for this job and other important duties that I’d have to take that I would have to prepare for. If you like talking to people, helping or caring for others, then this is a great job for
I chose to research a physical therapist because it provides an opportunity to help people. This is a good career for me because it is in the medical field, which is where I want to be headed towards, and is not extremely stressful. Physical therapists use human biology more than chemistry, which is an advantage because I find biology more interesting. It is a good balance between studies, physical activity, and personal relationships. On the other hand, it requires a lot of school, which will take a lot of time and money. Looking from a bigger picture, the amount of school will be beneficial and the career advantages will outweigh the downsides. Overall, a physical therapist sounds like a very excellent fit for me.
I would want to be a Physical Therapist Assistant because it only takes 2 years unlike being a Physical Therapist which takes 4 or more years. I am the type of person who can’t wait to get out into the world and start working. So going to college for almost the quarter of the time would be an excellent choice for me. Also if I only go for 2 years the tuition cost is lower and with the tuition being lower that would be less loans for me to pay back. A Physical Therapist Assistant is allowed more time for work and family commitments unlike Physical Therapist where they work more hours. The program at Lake Area Technical Institute would be a perfect college for me to go to because of the location, its good reputation, and has more hands on learning.
Being able to take care of people is something that I wanted to do as a job when I was a child. As a child my parents bought me toy doctor kit. My father has been a diabetic since he was a kid and I would always do a check up with my toys and I always said he would be okay. I 've always been interested in healthcare since I was a young boy because I would be able to take care of and help people who are ill. Throughout this past year when my father was in the nursing home and in the hospital, I would learn what was going on with my dad from a medical level and then talking to him he would not be able to understand due to his dementia and I would be able to explain things to him so he could understand. The aspect of everything going on and talking to him about so he would not be more worried or upset made him feel more better and relaxed. Having the ability to do that with the patients I come in contact with each day is very rewarding to do that each and everyday. The more I do that the more I learn for myself and the patients I help take good care of
I came into Ohio State undecided. However, I knew that I wanted a job that allow me to help people. At the time, I did know that I what I really wanted was to be healer. When I first got to observe an occupational therapist, I knew that it was a career for me because it allows me to work on both physical and psychological needs to a patient. I am starting OT school this summer, and I could not be more
Although I have great goals to help people, my grand wish cannot be granted without a great amount of effort on my part. I decided to take part in activities that would help me reach my goals and to ready myself for that field of work. My extracurricular activities and my electives showed proof of my interest in the medical field over time. I made an extra effort to look for activities and classes that could help me on the way to becoming a doctor. My first step was
I started off volunteering in the department of patient escort services and then I was transferred into the emergency room. For patient escort, I mainly discharge patients and provide assistance to hospital visitors. For the emergency room, I bring patients who come into the emergency room to the imaging department, where they can take their X-rays, ultrasound, or CAT scans. I got the opportunity to interact with physician assistants and other health professionals. In addition to volunteering, I have also shadowed a physician assistant at Children’s Hospital. After interacting with physician assistant and learn more about the career, I soon came to realize that the physician assistant is not the career I want to pursue and I am more interested in the field of pharmacy. I became confident that pharmacy is the right career for me after working at a pharmacy for a several months and got a glance to the occupation. I enjoy learning about all the different medications as well as the healthcare
I have chosen to major in these two programs because it will become a big part in my future. In order to become a medical examiner you have to go to a four year college, medical school and then do residency training in forensic pathology. I want to become a forensic pathologist because it will help solve crimes that could never be solved without forensic evidence. I have chosen this school because of the majors it has offered for me and the field I want to major in aswell. Deciding the right school for me has been a very tough and difficult process. I have looked for months online for schools that are right for me and I finally found Missouri State University. The Cellular and Molecular Biology undergraduate program is designed for forensic pathologist wanting to get a bachelor's degree to get ready for medical school. I would need to have electives in Human Anatomy and Physiology and Histology. I have taken high school classes to get me ready for college. Including, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Biology 1 and Biology 2. I went to a cadaver lab at Saint Louis University with my anatomy class my junior year of high
The occupation that I choose was pharmacy tech because pharmacy tech’s work mostly in the back of the pharmacy dispensing medicine and not dealing with customers so much as Pharmacists do. I would like to work in this occupation because, like I said in the beginning, I would not like to deal with people as much as Pharmacists do. I would like to work in this occupation because pharmacy tech they work in the back and sometimes, they answer questions that the patients have about the medicine. Pharmacy tech’s also dispense medicine for patients, answer question that the patients have, like I said before, and supply medicine for patients whether it's over the counter or prescription. Another occupation that I was considering doing was to be a pharmacist. The reason why I was considering being a pharmacist's was because they also distribute medicine like the pharmacy tech’ s do, they provide information about
