For those who are not big into action filled movies this may not be the correct movie. The movie is a sequel to the 2011 film The Mechanic, which was based off of a 1972 Charles Bronson film. These three characters’ behaviors, personalities, and their thoughts affect the story “Catch a Killer”. Also Tawney’s behaviors, that shoots Gladston’s theory down and finds Corso and Andrew, show his honesty. The beginning of the story tells how rebellious Andrew is. In his book, Ordinary Resurrections: Children in the Years of Hope, Jonathan Kozol pulls back the veil and provides readers with a glimpse of the harsh conditions and unrelenting hope that exists in a community located in the South Bronx called Mott Haven. Mr. Kozol provides his own socially conscious and very informative view of the issues facing the children and educators in this poverty ravaged neighborhood. Just his commentary would paint a very bleak picture of the future. It is the words of the children that give this book optimism and meaning. The courage and care exhibited by the volunteers of St. Ann's after school program and the creativity of the teachers at P.S. 30 are utterly inspiring. They work long hours and go beyond the call of duty to protect the innocence and cultivate the hope that resides in the hearts of Mott Haven's youngest residents.
The Soloist (Foster, Krasnoff & Wright, 2008), is based on a true story of Nathaniel Anthony Ayers Jr. who develops psychosis and becomes homeless. In the film, Nathaniel is considered a cello genius who is discovered on the streets by Steve Lopez, a journalist from the Los Angeles Times. Steve was searching for a city story and he decided to write a newspaper article about Nathaniel. Nathaniel always had a passion for music. He was a child prodigy and attended Juilliard School of Music. However, he faced many complications at Juilliard, particularly hearing voices speaking to him. Unable to handle the voices, Nathaniel dropped out and ended up living on the streets of Los Angeles. Steve and Nathaniel develops an unexpected friendship, in which Steve tries to help Nathaniel to live a normal life; having a home, treat his mental disorder, and to fulfil his dream of being a cellist again.
“Crash” is a film that tells the story of over eleven different characters of multifarious ethnicities and groups, whose lives interconnect with one another in the span of two days in the city of Los Angeles. The storyline weaves together the lives of two carjackers, a detective who’s at odds with his mother, a DA and his wife, a racist police officer and his more idealistic partner, a television director and his wife, a Persian man who owns his own store, and a locksmith. It was a fantastic movie that takes careful attention to understand, but really opens the eyes of the viewer. It displays an eye opening message about racism and the effects of ignorance and misconception and how much it all affects our communication and our society.

On 10 June 1990, a mechanic of British Airway Flight 5390 installed retention bolts that were 0.1 inches smaller than the required bolt size. He installed smaller bolts based on his experience because he was lazy to look at the service manual. As a result, the left windscreen on captain’s side blew, while dragging the captain halfway out of the plane. The captain was left hanging in the window for 20 minutes and he suffered multiple injuries. Laziness is one of the greatest enemies of humans. Many people have attempted to show the impact of laziness in various forms of entertainment likes movies, television, sports etc. One such movie was Shaun of the Dead, which shows a story of survival in a zombie apocalypse. People have contradictory views
Philosophy is at the center of human thinking and everyday life, whether one is consciously recognizing it or not. Philosophy fosters critical thinking and provides a structure so one can think and answer basic questions about life on their own accord. The Departed uses several different philosophical theories throughout the film to develop the characters and the plot. These philosophies include Authenticity versus Bad faith, Nietzche’s doctrine of The Will to Power, and Martin Heidegger’s Being-Toward-Death.

There are many times that Hollywood comes under fire for the way they take an amazing story and script, and completely ruin it when they bring it to the screen. Hollywood takes scripts describing past historical events, current events, autobiographies, folk tales, and puts them on movie screens to entertain the masses. When they do this, sometimes they have to change the story or point of view of the story to make it entertaining enough to make money. Sometimes, this can include scripts related to mental health. A director takes a very real psychiatric and medical condition, such as Alzheimer’s disease, and displays it on screen to evoke some sort of emotion from the audience. The movie, Still Alice, is one case where

In A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens uses a variety of themes, including, revenge, revolution, fate, and imprisonment. Though these are very important themes, and were integral elements of this novel, resurrection served as the main theme aside from the obvious one which is revolution. The reason I chose resurrection instead of revolution, is because it is applicable outside of this novels setting. It is also important to note that the theme of sacrifice is closely tied into resurrection.

With that other Oscar-winning Dame Judi Dench as M, a role she fits like a glove, the movie really does progress at a pulsating pace, and the shock of seeing M come to an unexpected end at the conclusion, fatally wounded by the head bad guy, is quite hard to take.
