It’s safe to say it is natural to surround ourselves with the kind of people we want to be. Conversly, it is natural for us to retreat and isolate when our health is failing physically or emotionally. One’s social skills are telling of how healthy they are all around. Ideally a person has a nice balance of social time and personal time. We have a good idea who we are and are comfortable being ourselves in all situations. Get involved in your community and give back. Paying it forward is the best medicine next to laughter. Practice the golden rule and treat others as you want to be treated. Respect goes a long way. Know what you are okay with and set boundaries with people so you can develop healthy relationships. These relationships are built on trust, communication, and solving problems together. Maintain these relationships and keep your social support network close and you will live a happy life. Admittedly, when I first attended Pierce I only hung around with others who were part of my own social class, who would be the upper middle class. There was also a higher chance that I would speak to you if you’re of higher social standing and of East Asian ascendancy. The classes I had when I first enrolled here were populated with female Asian/Korean/Japanese model types so it was easy for me to keep within my own zone. Life moved on, we had to go separate ways. I had to expand to new horizons after a while, because my kind are rare, as a result you end up lonely if you don’t open up to new crowds.
Because emotional health can be related to social support, this means that the young person facing loneliness can be positively affected by being exposed to a social support group. A study of 700 Canadian 13 to 80 -year-olds showed that changes in emotional distress due to loneliness spiked from the early teens to the late teens and early twenties. Towards middle adulthood and through late adulthood, the feelings of loneliness declined. If the person can find a social support that can supports them emotionally, their well-being will improve.

However, we often come to sit back and realize that our lives might not be exactly how we imagine it. There are problems and obstacles that we must choose to overcome. With the rate society is evolving at, we miss out on the little things like friends and family that makes our lives that much more special. Life can be filled with bliss no matter how bad things may seem and we can find true happiness from fixing these problems to make our lives blissful.

She explained that studies done from 1885 to 2004 turned up some overwhelming news. The studies done were face to face and there were about 1,467 adults. Goodman writes that one-fourth of the people have nobody to talk to about important matters and another reported articulates people are one person less from nobody. From then to now the number of people who have nobody to talk to has doubled. The study is to show how people social isolation effects. Three effects of social isolation are eroding friendships, loneliness, and depression that can cause to death.
Whenever you have something you need to talk about and you can’t tell anyone, you should be able to tell your friend. The dictionary's definition of a good friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example, when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on. According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her support. There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you, involved in your everyday life. To find good friends you should look for such traits as being kind, trustworthy, loyal and dependable.
Always remember that people are busy in this world. They may not have time for you. Initially this thought made me nervous and lonely feeling, but gradually I started accepting this as a fact which made me easy on dealing with
Then you grow up and gets older. You start in school and get a lot of friends hopefully. I see the school as a important thing for your life, why that is the way to build up a good education, so you can have a job when your finishing school. For people who do not blow up, education is the same as a bright future. Friends are probably the most important things for your life. If your have friends you are never alone, and that’s why you can’t live without friends. A couple months ago I moved to Aalborg (I live alone), and first I was afraid of being alone the first while. I found surprisingly many friends, and they made me feel home.
Throughout high school, I had my same friend group that I had since middle school and elementary school. I always tried to make new friends, and join groups when I could, but I learned that the group of friend’s I had were a great group. My friends and I were in many of the same clubs, which made it more fun being in those clubs, and knowing people.
