Eating too much sugar can overstimulate the reward center of the brain which causes addiction.if you are having a craving for mikey d's, just think, what am i about to put in my body? disgusting animal body parts, fillers, and possibly foreign objects. McDonalds are most heavily located in North America, East Asia and Europe due to the fact that these continents have better economies; therefore they can afford the popular food chain restaurant. On the other hand, Africa and Central Asia do not have nearly as many McDonalds because their economies are weaker than North America, East Asia and Europe. Russia, being the largest country in the world in terms of landmass, only has 94 McDonalds’ while Brazil, which is not nearly the size of Russia, has 584 McDonalds’.
Chickens are one of the top most tortured animals in factory farms. Farmers get the most money for chickens that are heavier and have enlarged thighs and breasts. Like most factory farmed animals, broiler chickens are raised in overcrowded cages their entire life, and become very aggressive. Because of this aggressiveness the employees of the farms cut of their beaks and toes without any type of painkiller or an anesthetic just to keep them from fighting. After being “debeaked” some chickens are then not able to eat and starve. Layer chickens lay 90-95% of the eggs sold in the U.S. (2013b) The torture starts the day they are born. Chicks are placed on a belt, where an employee than picks up each chick to see if it is a male or female. Newborn male chicks are thrown into trash bags, ground up alive, crushed, and killed many other inhumane ways.
For example, a bundle at McDonald’s can feed up to four people at one time, and it only costs about fifteen dollars! So, in the long run, it is just easier to go pick up some fast food rather than wasting your time cooking an actual meal. Lastly, even though fast food is very cheap and in every corner, it is not healthy at all. Studies have proven that a person that ate McDonald’s for his meals for a full month ended up having some serious health problems. In conclusion, even though it is very easy to access and very cheap, fast food has some serious health issues and is very harmful.
In my perspective, the franchise makes less profit and it is not the CEO’s foul, because people choose to eat more healthy and organic foods. Nowadays, people are using internet daily and it covers all on the news about how fast-food industries look like and how they do in business. When they look at how they treat the animals and the way they raise them, it makes people rethink about eating fast-food or not. There is news about the ingredients of the food, it shocks me that the food can sustain in any weather and never get ill by gems. I use to eat fast-food because it is a fastest way I can fill my stomach in short amount of time. Later on, I start working out, I stop eating those foods because it doesn’t give me a right protein and can damage my body. We all have a responsibility to live ethical in regards to respect of others thoughts and feelings. Although not been ethical is not always against the law there are also other negative outcomes that a company may endure for such practices. One outcome is a negative or bad image. Since McDonald’s targets a lot toward children having a negative image could deter parents from wanting their kids to eat there and thus affecting McDonald’s bottom line. Not only parents would be affected by a negative image but also other countries that the company may want to expand to. Chickens are the most abused farm animals. In supermarkets chickens are different than they were 40 years ago because of the conditions they go through in the factory. Factory workers put these chickens or hens through chronic pain and it effects them greatly. Chicks are "debeaked" by searing their beaks off with a hot blade. "The beaks of chickens, turkeys, and ducks are often removed in factory farms to reduce the excessive feather pecking and cannibalism seen among stressed, overcrowded birds" (The National Humane Education Society). Egg laying animals can also be starved to shock their bodies into molting. Force molting is when chickens or hens are starved or denied any food for up to two weeks.
