Are you thinking about going to McDonald’s any time soon, well I would rethink that because there are so many bad things about McDonald's. People need to stop eating at McDonalds because it’s not healthy and it’s not sanitary or eco-friendly.
People need to stop eating at McDonald’s because it’s not healthy. First, if you eat at McDonald’s the food will send your blood sugar levels to abnormal levels. Fast food, while a quick alternative to cooking, has always been known to be less healthy than traditional preparations, but the extent of its health benefits or detriments was not known until a lawsuit came out which inspired documentarian Morgan Spurlock to engage in a 30 day experiment. The resultant documentary specifically targeted McDonald’s, the largest fast food chain in the world, which also happens to be a major recipient of lawsuits linking obesity and their food. Spurlock endeavored to spend a thirty day period eating nothing but food that came from the golden arches, with the rules that he would supersize only when asked, and every time he was asked, and that he would have everything from the menu at least once. In the 2004 film Super Size Me, Morgan Spurlock explores the concept that McDonald’s contributes to the nation’s obesity problem through the utilization of statistics and scientific evidence as a logical appeal, comedy and repulsive qualities as an emotional appeal, and s...
McDonald's is one of the multiple fast food restaurants that serve greasy and oversized meals that are harmful to the human body. Throughout a thirty day McDonald's only diet, Spurlock surrounds himself with logos, ethos, and pathos to impact the viewer's opinion on the true cost of eating fast food
America has always been about being the biggest nation: the biggest houses, the biggest cars, biggest cities and unfortunately the biggest bodies. There is no doubt that fast food is causing major health problems for many Americans today. In his documentary, Super Size Me, released in 2004 Morgan Spurlock decides to eat only food from McDonald’s for thirty days to see how it would affect his health. Spurlock starts out healthier than the average man for his age. Throughout the film, we can see that his health gradually degenerates and reaches a critical point, before his thirty days are over. Super Size Me is very persuasive in showing the negative effect in fast food restaurants by using logos, pathos, and ethos.
Wal-Mart is one of the largest companies in the first 10 of Fortune 500. It based its growth on supplying the needs of people of all works of life at an extremely low price.
McDonald’s is killing Americans, at least that is what Morgan Spurlock believes. In his documentary Super Size Me he embarks on a quest to not only describe and use himself as an example of the growing obesity trend, but to offer the viewers with base-line nutritional knowledge that will allow them to draw their own informed conclusions. Spurlock's primary intention is to prove through self-experimentation that eating solely McDonald's food is dangerous. His secondary intention is to denounce the rising obesity rate in American by using statistics, his own research, and the opinions of experts. His broader message is for a general audience while he tailors select chapters towards more specific demographics such as parents or McDonald's themselves.

McDonald’s, one of America’s fastest growing fast food restaurants, has made more than its share of money within the last twenty years, serving more than 46 million people daily. They have twice as many restaurants as Burger King and more restaurants than KFC, Wendy’s, and Taco Bell combined. Often children have the dream of eating fast food for every meal of every day. Well, Morgan Spurlock took the challenge to see how dangerous it would be to eat McDonalds for every meal. He also took the challenge in response to a lawsuit against McDonalds by a family whose children became obese by the contents of its meals.

The food served in restaurants or fast food places, a great number of times, is fairly unfit for people. The portions they serve are too large and the food is filled with empty calories. It is surprising that a law has not been made that entitles restaurants to have a listing next to their menu of the correct portion sizes and the total of calories put into it. This ensures awareness to those who consumes their food and to choose the healthiest item for them to eat. That way they don’t feel so guilty for what they put in their mouths if the information was given to them.
It was a dark and stormy night on Tabor’s campus. The wind howled like wolves over Sippican Harbor as the streetlights flickered. However, not even the intense weather conditions could stop my friends and me from adventuring. We struggled to trudge through the mud and torrential downpour to reach our destination, but we were running out of time. I thought to myself, “Will we make it?” I was losing hope. I wanted one thing and one thing only- my old fashioned donut, and I wasn’t stopping until I got it.
...-service supermarkets, also leading people to go to McDonalds®. Healthier food can often times be more expensive. McDonald’s® food, although cheap and tasty, is unhealthy and doesn’t fill you up as well as a true dine in restaurants or expensive healthy food. The evidence of hunger and obesity as sidekicks is incriminating.
A blue mini-van is driving along the highway. In the drivers seat is a Father and in the passenger seat a Mother is seen scrolling Facebook on her smart phone. In the back seat is two children; a boy around age 9 and a girl around age 7. Through the window shield you see the reflection of a yellow golden arch. Both children simultaneously ask, “Please?!?” The parents give into their children’s wishes, and order two Happy Meals, just like the other 68 million people who eat from McDonalds every day. Close to 200 million people eat fast food daily, without a second thought. Fast food is cheap and accessible, making it the easy ‘grab and go’ option that millions of family opt for instead of cooking in. But why is fast food so cheap and addictive?

In the debate over fast food chains being unhealthy enough that they should be banned I think that they should ban fast food restaurants therefore I am against fast food chains because this way of eating results into bad dieting can lead to health problems like obesity, stress, tiredness, and overtime it can contribute to risk of developing some illness or health problems such as High blood pressure,Heart disease, and diabetes. This shows us how much bad dieting affects the human body and the damages it can cause along the way and one source of bad eating habit these days and the most common is the Mcdonald's restaurant or other unhealthy restaurants that may be in your city.Mcdonalds is not the healthiest choice therefore it would be better eating at home or in some place where they don't fry their foods as much or used so many processed foods. Many of these health problems can be evaded if you think it is possible to go without fast food and make healthier food choices and look at what you consume or how you prepare the food that you are going to be eating because it affects how healthy it is going to be.
McDonalds is somewhere everyone has eaten at, but do they really know what they are eating? People today trust anyone with their food in order to save time for work and other important tasks. The time spent on cooking meals in America has "fallen by half since the mid-sixties" (Pollan, "Cooked" 3). Nutrition has been put in the hands of fast food corporations around the world, and they are unfortunately concerned more about money rather than health and nutrition. In other words, the food produced by McDonalds and other fast food establishments is the unhealthiest food people can eat and often leads to serious illnesses if consumed enough.
