However, in Fall of 2016, McCullen's rangers have been able to find numerous of dogs. The funny thing is, the only ones found were not microchipped. All dogs came back with the same characteristics.Surrounding their eyes were green wax with the left eyes being red. All dogs came dehydrated and produced little to no saliva. All dogs came back more properly trained prior to the time they were lost. Lastly, all dogs found were retrieved within five to seven

It is intersected by the Maribynong River and the M80 highway, which reveals the adaptive nature of the natural environment in a growing urban area. (Parks Victoria, 2013)
Nationwide, approximately 50 percent of all children will be bitten by a dog before they reach the age of twelve (DeIorio, “Have a Dog-Bite-Free Summer”). In Marion County, Florida, aggressive and dangerous breads of dogs are a “serious issue” for the community according to Marion County Commissioner Jim Payton (Thompson, “County drops '1 free kill'”). Responsible dog owners seem to be unaware of the problem but area residents who have been victims of these attacks have turned to the Marion County Board of Commissioners for help. The local County Commissioners have been wrestling with this issue since October of 2009 when a widow from Ocklawaha, Patricia McBee, had three of her dogs euthanized after they allegedly killed her neighbor’s cat (Thompson, “County drops ‘1 free kill’”). The need for change moved even faster after a 3-year-old little girl was attacked and killed by a dog that was chained to a tree outside her house in Citra (Lee, “Girl, 3, mauled”).
The current popular television show “Pit Bulls and Parolees” is combating the negative image of Pit Bulls, that the media has portrayed for so long. The show is a positive example of how Pit Bulls can be rehabilitated, while at the same time helping parolees to adjust back into society, giving both the dog and the parolee a new purpose in life. The majority of these dogs have been rescued from owners who have abandoned the dog, and left them to die. Both the Pit Bull and parolee have been through simular situations, escaping death or the dealth penalty, and offered a second chance at life
National Parks are the cornerstone of every country because it preserves the rich cultural and natural resources of a nation, such as Yellowstone in the United States of America. Yellowstone National Park is the World’s First National Park which brings millions of attraction each year, it is larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combine and have over a thousand species of plants and animal (Yellowstone Media). However, a very important type of species has been missing in Yellowstone National Park for a very long time. Wolves, which got reintroduce back into Yellowstone National Park, should stay there because without them the ecosystem would be out of balance.

According to the article “Pet Statistics” by the ASPCA estimates there are 70-80 million dogs and 74-96 million cats owned in the United States. It is impossible to determine the number of stray dogs and cats, but the ASPCA estimates there are 70 million cats alone that are strays in the US (“Pet Statistics”). The overpopulation of dogs and cats live either on the streets and die each day, they live in a shelter and try to get adopted, but even then they die. The ASPCA states that nationwide about 7.6 million companion animals enter the shelter and of the 7.6 million approximately 3.9 million are dogs and 3.4 million are cats (“Pet Statistics”).

The use of canines in law enforcement is a tool that has been utilized for years around the world. In the 1970's the use of dogs to a foothold in the United States( 2013, dogsforlawenforcement.org). Canines assist local and federal law enforcement agencies in many ways such as locating and apprehending violent criminals, tracking missing people, sniffing out drugs or bombs
Scooby Doo. Toto. Snoopy. We all know and love these dogs as characters and as sidekicks (and best friends) to their human counterparts. Known for their incredible ability to bond with humans and their generally unconditionally loving personalities, dogs are arguably the most beloved animal in modern culture. Because of this, it may come as a surprise to most that there are an estimated 600 million homeless dogs in the world, which means that the stray dog population is almost twice the human population of the United States (Huffington Post). These shocking numbers are due to a multitude of reasons, but the main factor in this devastating predicament is overpopulation. The stray dog population not only affects the animals themselves but can affect the human population as well, from spreading deadly untreated diseases such as rabies to affecting tourism and therefore having economic consequences. Solving this dilemma, however, can be as simple as spaying and neutering dogs to avoid overpopulation.
Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based in love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns it, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can make them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day. Dog parks are a great place to take the dogs because it provides a space where they do not have to be with leash every time, while they can interact with other animals of their specie in a pet-friendly environment. Every city in the country should have at least one of these places, in order to help their inhabitants with their pets and because it is a good part of the life in community.
There has been much said about the relationship between humans and dogs. Some believe that dogs are a man’s best friend, while others believe that dogs are meant only to be used to perform a certain job. Even though some see dogs only as a tool, dogs have been known to help humans in times of despair and need. Whether it be a dog helping a disabled person, or searching for a human amongst a pile of rubble, dogs can be a key factor when it comes to the well being of humans. In enormous tragedies, such as September 11th, dogs were a key element in piecing back together the parts of America that the terrorists had destroyed when they administered the attacks. Dogs are able to bring unity and support in times of tragedy. While both the working dogs and firemen contributed to the restoration of 9/11, the dogs that helped in the aftermath of the attacks were needed for much more than locating trapped victims; they were needed for support, unity, and comfort as well.
On September 9th, 2017 at approximately 7 p.m., I went to Gracedale Public Park to carefully conduct my observation on the individuals, who were at the park and their specific activities in the one hour of time. When I got there, the weather was beautiful with soft winds, a clear sky and with some dim sunlight. The park was full of people of all ages. Though, there were more kids than adults and some teenagers. There were many bicycles and strollers parked beside the tree I sat under. After a couple of minutes, the park filled up with more and more individuals and everyone seemed busy doing their own actions.
In every community in the U.S., there are animals sitting in shelters waiting for homes. Millions of domestic pets, every year, millions are put down at animal shelters across the country. Although a problem with aggressive pet behavior is the main reason animals are put into shelters, stray pets are the result of breeding by roaming, unaltered pets. The more pets that are spayed or neutered, the fewer pets that will be put down. Delaware Humane Association does not put down animals; however, hundreds of pets are turned away each year because there is simply not enough room at the shelter to fix all the unwanted animals ("Myths and Facts About Spaying and Neutering: The Humane Society of the United States, lines
However it only works if people actually have their pets spayed or neutered. In Sochi Russia during the last Olympic Games, there were stray dogs found around the entire city. The dog population was out of control. They even had adoption stations in the city so tourist could adopt pets, and take them home to be their own pets. A local pest control company has a contract to scoop up and kill Sochi 's strays, in part to avoid any embarrassing appearances by dogs during competition. The International Olympic Committee is trying to paint a less gruesome image of the dogs ' fate(“Opposing Viewpoints in Context - Document”). Scooping up dogs and euthanizing them happens all over the world, I commend those who adopted dogs from their wicked
Another common reason is that the owner finds the animal to be too much work, or if the owner moves to a new house in which he cannot bring the pet due to new rules. There are also other reasons a dog would be abandoned which are shocking. Some people abandon their pets because their owner has a baby, and doesn’t want the dog anymore! Sometimes they abandon dogs because the dog gets old. That is ESPECIALLY cruel because when a dog is old, that's when you should take care of it the most! Some people even abandon their dogs because of their own negligence! They don’t spay/neuter the dogs which leads to unwanted litters, so instead of taking the puppies to a shelter, they just dump them off in some random place, leaving them to die! Animal abandonment is also associated with animal abuse. According to http://www.animal-rights-action.com/pet-abandonment.html, greyhound racing is when they have a greyhound and they put them in races. This may sound harmless, but when you look below the surface, you can never see this cruel sport the same. When the greyhounds do not perform to their owner’s expectations, they are
