Personal, Academic, and Professional Goals/Personal Qualities. Completing a Master of Social Work (MSW) - Social Work with Children & Families interest me because it will allow me to continue to work in Mental Health with consumers with the need of healing and learning how to cope with their disorders. Completing my Master of Social Work (MSW) Concentration in Children & Families it will prepare me to engage in case studies and view simulations that reflect sceneries of what I may encounter in the field. Working as a paraprofessional in mental health while obtaining my undergraduate, I continue to work, with children and adults. After, completing my undergraduate degree it allowed me to move up in mental health as a case manager. Later, in 2012, I went a step further to obtain my Master of Science in Human Resources to become a Clinical director in the mental health agencies. This would allow me to oversee the agencies, bi-laws, guidelines and regulations. Later, I learned that due to not being licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) , or an Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist( LCAS) it would prevent me from accomplishing my goal as a Clinical …show more content…

Being the first out of eleven children to go to college, was always in the front of my mind. I continue to push while forcing myself to multitask different things at one time. One of my mistakes that I learned and corrected was that I didn’t have a schedule, however I learned that it is important to develop a schedule and follow through with it weekly. Having a schedule allowed me to plan and allot time to be able to study, read, post and comment. Also, to review what my classmates have posted so that I can be able to respond effectively. Having a schedule allows you to know what you need to do each day. For example, if the class guideline is for students to post on Wendsay and Friday’s, my schedule will allow me to fully complete my task in a timely
