For years now it’s been my dream to attend Melbourne High School. My two cousins have attended the school in the past five years and I’ve heard how enriching being part of the MHS community can be. College Admissions Essay If someone asked me where I am going to be in ten years, this would be my answer. I have a great, high-paying job, and beautiful wife and family, and a nice sports car parked in front of my lovely house. When I look into the future, I see myself being successful and happy. Even though I always pictured myself this way, I never worried too much about how I would get there.
Attending college is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life! After earning a high school diploma, I promised my mother I would earn a college degree. My mother would repeatedly say “earning a degree, working hard, and raising a family” were the pillars of life. Instead of following the “pillars of life” I decided to shake things up a little. She was astonished when I joined the United States Army. Now that I have retired from the United States Army after twenty years, it’s time to finally fulfill that promise. Obtaining a college degree will make a better life for me and my family. A better life sounds like a term that is used loosely in a crowded room full of broke people. A better life to one person can mean something totally different

“Success is whatever each person defines it to be for himself or herself (Womack, C.D. 2003,10 page 46).” Learning is a never ending cycle; rather through formal or informal training. People need to be prepared to learn in order to be successful both in education and their career. Educational goals combined with personal learning styles, appropriate resources, a proper writing process and academic integrity leads to academic success.
Since the beginning of my academic endeavors, I have long cherished a dream to be a member of the social science research community, which gives our society progressive insights into human ecology. I began my undergraduate studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey with a passion for ecological justice and with the intention of majoring in environmental studies. Ramapo College’s progressive liberal arts foundation provided me with ample room to explore the multifarious array of social science courses. As I took more social science courses, however, my understanding of human social groups underwent a metamorphosis. As a result, I decided to pursue a degree in Social Science, with minors in the two fields I felt most passionately interested in, Women’s Studies and African American Studies.
That is why healthcare professionals has to commit to education. The purpose of the knowledge should bring us to the humble desire to serve our patients whatever the level of education we acquire. In the quest for knowledge caring is a central importance in our practice. The devotion to help others with compassion is what nursing is all about, When I was in school for my associates I never forgot what one of the teachers who had a PHD in nursing said to me when I asked her why she did not become a physician, she said nursing is a calling and that was mine, I knew then having a higher education did not make her a better nurse, she was a great nurse. She helped us cultivate a caring attitude in nursing education. Personally one specific goal for growth I would like to reach would be to help my community. I know I make a difference at work, but I would like to get more involved. It is challenging but at the same time interesting. By doing so I can connect to people and form a network .with this network I can have access to a wide range of people who would be a great foundation of assets. Continuing my education to obtain my masters would be essential to accomplish a profession gain in looking for new prospects. It would not be an easy ask but I have overcome many obstacles and break barriers to better my life and my family so with patience I can get where I am supposed to be. For leadership growth it is important for me to be part of the decision being made at my workplace and provide expertise to improve the care the patients received. My master 's degree will help me develop a sense of thoughtful leadership to advance not only educationally but also
The theories of Jacques Lacan give explanation and intention to the narrator’s actions throughout the novel “Surfacing”. Although Margaret Atwood may not have had any knowledge of the French psychoanalyst’s philosophies, I feel that both were making inferences on behavior and psychology and that the two undeniably synchronize with each other. I will first identify the complex philosophies of Jacques Lacan and then demonstrate how the narrator falls outside of Lacan’s view of society and how this leads to her demand for retreat from that society in order to become ‘whole’.
Professional Goals I would like to pursue a career in healthcare administration, which is my ultimate goal. From there, I would like to work in a hospital setting where I can be of assistance to a larger population. Another goal I would like to achieve is earning a master’s degree in healthcare administration. While a bachelor's degree is needed for entry-level positions, a master’s degree can help me advance in my career and provide opportunities to work in certain areas that require this particular degree. Additionally, I would like to improve my communication skills, as it is an essential aspect of healthcare administration.
After graduation from KOREA University, I decided to enter Hyndai MotorCompany(HMC), which is the largest Korean car manufacturer and global player, to pursue a career as an international businessman. I wanted to continue my career abroad. Therefore, I made a detailed research and ended up going to the United States because of its worldwide reputation in academics. My initial research showed me that Southern part of United States would be most education friendly due to social, climate and financial reasons. Besides, a field like Public Administration requires one to be involved in a more diverse environment as it is any government’s job to provide service to its citizens from diverse background. Grambling State University, with its diverse environment and friendly atmosphere was the most suitable one. Due to this reason, after completing the English as Second Language Program of ELS center in Ruston, I applied to Grambling State University. At the beginning I was required to take some undergraduate level classes to improve my knowledge and skills. I have successfully completed fifteen cou...
Through education, experience and personal morals, social justice issues pertaining to economic and social inequality have always been important to me. I have taken numerous undergrad courses on inequality including, Social Inequality, Social Welfare Policy, and my Social Work Senior Seminar was on Diversity, Human Rights, and Social Justice. Those classes and my field internships really opened my eyes to the magnitude of social inequality and how many individuals and families are affected. The society we live in is quick to forget about the many boundaries that low income families have to face on a day to day basis in America. Being passionate about this topic of oppressed populations made me interested in applying for the Springfield College School of Social Work. Its mission describes preparing their students to meet universal human needs based on principles of economic and social justice, dignity, and human rights. I know that I will be helping individuals and families living in high risk populations all throughout my social work career. Having those core values around teaching social work practice and knowledge, Springfield will equip me to excel my current education to make a difference in the future through my practice. I believe that the program and the courses that it offers will help me to develop my understanding of oppressed populations and ways that I can advocate for them at both micro and macro levels of social
