The Father of Peace

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that; Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. This quote shows how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. kept trying to drive out the hate of segregation and to change it to better the lives of many, but he did much more for us. Martin Luther King, Jr. changed the world by standing up for black rights, he impacted the world, but believed in nonviolence. In the end he helped the world be equal and have a bit more peace. He left a legacy as the father of peace. King’s early life was pretty tough when he was young, he was constantly moving to one school to another because of segregation (Who was Martin Luther King, Jr. by: Bonnie Bader). He thought of helping people with this same struggle, so he applied to be a priests (World Leaders Rog Nagel). He finally took a job at Dexter Church. When he taught there, he said a sermon that persuaded many. He also study a lot about the bible. But he was not happy just being a priests, he wanted to do more. So he became a Civil Rights Activist to show what he could do for his people (Biography.com/Martin Luther King Jr).
