¨You can make something of your life, it just depends on your drive¨, (Marshall Bruce Mather’s), a young man full of dreams and expirations has taught me that anything is possible, to never give up no matter how hard is and also believe in yourself.
Marshall Bruce Mather’s 111 known as Eminem is my hero, furthermore he has informed me that there are hard times, but there are no obstacles no one can pass, such as Eminem that suffer so much when he was a child, but he never gave up. ¨you never know how strong you are…until being strong is the only choice you have¨(Bob Marley). Therefore, Eminem did not have another choice. Additionally, he did not have someone to support him, he overcomes by himself, and that is something that makes me admire
Rap music has given me personally something to look up to. Not a role model but hope of continuing my dreams because rappers successfully made it. “For what’s money without happiness, or hard times without the people you love” is from a song called “Love Yourz” by J. Cole. He clearly understands how there is “beauty in the struggle and ugliness in the success” because he’s lived that life. Other songs such as “2Face” or “The Autograph” were instantly relatable to me because he has been through several struggles from the beginning of his childhood. Cole’s father left when he was six leaving his mother and younger brother alone. Cole became “the man of the house” but becoming a rapper is not as easy as it seems. Cole’s messages in these two songs are relative because I too, have had several issues with my mother and father creating a sense of lonesome. Hearing music like Coles helped me overcome my
Unlike those previously mentioned, Eminem took a different approach which was to become the bully. This is Eminem’s downfall because he let the actions bullies would do to him turn him into to them. Rather than being a better person and telling an adult, he took a different approach a got pay back by attacking the bully. MORE. CONCLUSION SENTENCE.
...e important events in Eminem’s life that had a great impact or effect in his successful career. So yeah Eminem had to deal with poverty and many other problems, but showed that you can do anything you want if you are determined and do not give up even if you are in the most messed up situation.
Marshall Bruce Mathers a.k.a. Eminem. Born October 17, 1972, grew up in Kansas City. From there he began his career as an individual white rapper. Not many white people are able to succeed in the rap industry, but Eminem has proved everyone wrong. He is now one of the most talked about persons on the earth. His lyrics offend some people, this sparks controversy and censorship. His lyrics containing things such as drugs, alcohol, death, homosexuals, sex and suicide. In some of his songs he includes lyrical slander towards bands like NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, Brittney Spears and Puff Daddy. He views these bands as manufactured and as he calls them “faggots”. In one of his songs called “Marshall Mathers” he says “Boy girl groups make me sick, and I cant wait until I catch all you faggots in public, I’m a love it.” Most of the songs off his records he is bad mouthing homosexuals. This creates a ruckus in the media because the gay and lesbian parties protest outside of his concerts and award shows. These groups want Eminem to be either banned, have his records changed or a heavy censorship on his records. In response to these claims Eminem said “I am who I am, I don’t compromise my stuff for nobody.” That’s the way he is and that’...
...us that no matter who we are, anything is possible as long as we go out there and try out best to achieve it. As the saying goes, “there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.”
“It always seems impossible until it’s done”. This quote from Nelson Mandela comes to mind when describing why I aspire to become a Physician Assistant. It has always been a great motivation and inspired me not to get discouraged with failure; rather look forward for your goals. Frequently, it takes many trials and lack of success as well as achievements, for one to truthfully discover him/herself. I instinctively progressed through the motions of life. Many options were available and choosing a career as I grew up kept altering, until one day when I saw how helping other people is my sole purpose of life. Getting to know more of physician assistant drove me into the thoughts of pursuing it as a career.
Many white rappers have had a difficult time making it in the black industry of rap. Eminem, the most recent white rapper to hit the mainstream has had his own share of difficulties in this industry and in his life as well. The poem written my Marshall Mathers, now known as Eminem, entitled "Life," displays Eminem's views on his life, and just life in general. Eminem has continued on the legacy of the contact zone between the white men in the black man's industry, this being rap.
...In conclusion, learn from your mistakes, remember what talents got you where you are today and success will eventually come along the way.
In famous rapper Eminem’s popular hit song “Lose Yourself”, the rapper combines poetry with his skill of rapping while implementing an urban twist on the art form. Eminem includes common poetic techniques such as plot, internal rhyme, assonance and couplets and manipulates them in order to emphasize the message of his song. Through these techniques, Eminem relays a message of persevering through the struggles of life in order to transcend from poverty to success. The use of poetic techniques enables Eminem to reach his audience in a way that encourages them to pursue their dreams and goals in the face of adversity that they may experience on a regular basis.
Eminem came from poverties that many would not succeed from. Many doubted Eminem for becoming a rapper because of his color, lack of lyrical skills, and lifestyle. It even accumulated when he dropped out of high school and pursued his rapping career. He never believed of failure which motivated him to engineer his own long rhyming skills. He used his own adversities to inspire his songs which many consider masterpieces. His daughter Hailey made a great contribution towards his career as he wanted to flourish in her eyes and give all he had never had. Eminem has changed the interface of rap music and has generated a new era of rap which he will be considered as the ‘Greatest Rapper of All Time’.
There’s a well-known artist who got bullied at school, whose dad left him at a young age and who never had a good relationship with his mother. He got named the King of Rap by revolutionizing the rap industry but he never really had a happy life even during his prime. Eminem was appreciated by a lot, but his beloved daughter did not. He was always absent and didn’t have time for her. He couldn’t find a way to express his sorriness/remorse so he used his musical talents to apologize and wrote one of his top-hit songs “Mockingbird”.*thesis*
“We each need to find our own inspiration. Sometimes it’s not easy.” —Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989). You wouldn’t have imagined how this quote could have affected someone’s life. In my case it did, as a child, I had no idea of what I wanted to become in the future. Sometimes I would get frustrated because many children already had an idea of what they wanted to be. But after seeing Kiki’s delivery service I had realized that it was okay for me not to know what I wanted to be as an adult. Since I was still young there was still time for me to find something that would inspire me. Later on I discovered that there was a lot of things that inspired me.
The section of work summarized that once graduating college many Twentysomethings will not land their dream job; they have to learn about the energy they must put in taking the small steps to aiming that dream lifestyle.
When I began my journey, I had no idea who I wanted to be. Sometimes I reflect back on that hot summer day after graduation when I sat irresolute, pondering my future. I like to think that it was a definitive moment, the first step in my climb up the mountain I know as my dream, and my soon to be reality. Even today as different and grown up as I am, I remain that same 18 year old girl inside, sitting alone on her bed inspired by a multitude of subjects, mad with intention and fevered with determination to actualize her own future, her own way.
“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort” (Owens). Without any determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort dreams will not turn into reality. People should look forward and push for that reality. Anyone can say they will fulfill their dream, but it takes someone with dedication, determination and effort to accomplish that dream. Effort is the key to success. Effort is like the sugar and spice to everything nice. Without any push of effort for the dream to become reality dedication, determination and self-discipline don’t take place. The dream drives people to accomplish the unexpected.
