Marks&Spencer Marks&Spencer brand (M&S) has become world famous as the largest British clothes manufacturer. The company now has more than 800 stores. In 1884 Marks moved to Leeds, where he became acquainted with Thomas Spencer, and made him his partner. The new company was named Marks and Spencer.
