In general most people do not spend a lot of time in their kitchens or bathrooms, as most people spend their free time socializing or relaxing. This requires a different atmosphere than these two areas can provide in a housing unit. In most cities and college towns, apartments are the most prevalent housing accommodations available. Since apartments have such small living quarters, kitchens and bathrooms tend to suffer the most when it comes to square footage. With smaller kitchens comes limited counter space.
Being a resident of an apartment complex, I know what it is like to run out of counter space. Sometime it is just important to not feel like cooking takes forever because you have to constantly move things around on the countertops in your kitchen.

...s a pull out counter top I feel as though it might be useful to have some hooks that the user could pop out when needed. I believe they would provide extra value to the product for all marketing groups. They could be used to hang oven mittens or perhaps a garbage bag for a party or social event. Since they would pop out, the user could use them only when needed. This will create even more space efficiency for the user and make an object more accessible by hanging it on the hooks.
In times where money is short, eating out becomes more expensive. For this reason alone we need kitchen space more now than ever. The fold out countertop is an innovative and much needed product for many people right now. We need to save money and start enjoying cooking again. With my product I believe I can provide great value to consumers and give kitchens a much needed makeover.

The early days of Uris Hall’s dormitory kitchen were characterized by excellent food and a content, tight-knit staff. The employees’ feelings of satisfaction and utmost commitment to their jobs are best explained using Herzberg’s Motivator-Hygiene Model. This motivation theory relies on the assumption that satisfaction and dissatisfaction in the workplace are independent of each other, and a different set of factors is responsible for causing each emotion. One motivating factor is the employees’ sense of achievement in their work. The case stresses that the eleven women who worked in the kitchen felt a consistent sense of pride in their labor; they went to great lengths to ensure superior quality

Commercial products have been around since the beginning of time. Manufacturing millions of products such as Ketchup for consumers to use daily. One might argue that buying house hold items can be such a hassle even for consumers who barely have time to get ready for work, let alone clean after themselves. The need for more items influences consumers to evolve from prehistoric cave dwellers into item entrepreneurs through introducing multiple platforms to spread news about a product, appealing visually for customers to go buy it, and demonstrating why traditional ways of doing things helps improve modern cultures to expand newer ideas for buyers to sell or buy as they please.
When I walked into the door, I was immediately blown away. I entered a beautiful yet sleek dining room and kitchen. The thing that I noticed first and appreciated was that the space was not gigantic. It is intimate and I think that is important for cooking and dining experiences. When there are too many people, it waters down the experience for me. Lucky me, since I went before lunch, it was just me, Chef Tess and

First of all, in order to get into further details of the tools used to discover and develop the valuable entrepreneurial opportunities for our product, I would like to address the actual product that my group are pitching. Our group came up with the idea of multi-function restaurant table tablets, compromising menus, payments and entertainments into an all-in-one system. The development of our idea start off from the customer experience mapping that we have conducted with some customers. Our group have brainstormed a few different ideas, but we have settled on this final idea. Reason being, we have learned from the course that a good business model yields value propositions that are compelling to customers, by creating a sustainable advantage and delivering significant value and effectively transforms payment received into profits (Teece, 2010, pp. 174). Therefore, with the valuable insights we have gained from what we have learned, our group then believed that our produ...
If the value of these KitchenAid would have stayed at this price, the average American could not have afforded such appliance; indeed, in 1935, Egmont Ahrens revised the mixer’s design and impelled its price to be brought down to $55. Therefore, this invention was important to Child’s success because home cooks could replicate her recipes using this device by helping the average home cook produce many things that were created in commercial facilities or in restaurants. This was an advantage to Child because of her cooking show Baking with Julia had many recipes that required the use of a mixer (Mixer History; Invention of the Mixer).
Too often, a marketing function is misunderstood, because many people do not understand what is meant by ‘Marketing’.
It was only 50 years ago that we began to have wonderful labor-saving devices to help accomplish all the tasks that collectively constituted the perfect home environment. Sometimes it has the effect of removing all the reasons that everything cannot be done all the time and so results in more work rather than less, but few of us can imagine living without washing machines, vacuum cleaners or dishwashers—or electricity, for that matter.
