Since I had an about two semesters to go before graduation I would like to expand my curriculum and obtain experiences. I applied in one place that is engaged to sales and organize Marketing events for different companies or so say the web page. I swallow all my nerves and I walk into the office. The first thing I did was greet the person in front of me and present myself. He just knocks his head to me and asks for it. He asks for my experience in marketing and then directly start talking about why will be my job duty if I got hired. Basically, he told me that I need to stand in front of mini-markets like Turkey Hill and give people flies about companies offers. I asked him politely if that is one of the duties for a marketing position assistant and he clearly told me that he is not looking for an assistant and what the web page says is just in order to have quality people who can speak well. maybe in the future if we think that you can be a good choice for the company we can talk about it. I say yes to the position to try to play along and see if he just was teasing me. Then he told me that my salary will be at the base of how many people are interested in the offers that I will market in the streets. They don't provide transportations and if I am not successful with the company goals I will just gain about 6 dollars per

Many small businesses don’t realize how important their company image really is. The following is a formula for low cost marketing for a small business to create or better their image. To find this formula I interviewed Evan Paull, the owner of a small sign making company based in Annapolis Maryland called ‘Independent Sign Consortium’ or ‘ISC.’ ‘ISC’ was started in 1996 and has had a steady growth ever since. I also interviewed Allison Green, the marketing director of ‘Revisions,’ ‘Revisions’ is based in Baltimore Maryland and is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the mentally ill.
Intro Deciding what you want to study during your college career can be a difficult and tedious task. This is due to fact that many young adults coming out of high school are unsure of what they want to do or what path to take career wise. The path I chose to take when coming out of high school was entering the business school at Howard University.

Most people find that going to a job interview can be one of the most stressful events in a person’s life. For some, a job interview is vital to one’s future, therefore the outcome of the interview can be of great importance to that person’s life. However, with a few helpful steps, a job interview can be quite simple. In order to succeed at a job interview you need to: conduct research on the employer and the job opportunity, review common interview questions and prepare responses, dress for success, arrive on time for the interview and be prepared, ask questions, make good first impressions, and thank your interviewer(s) in person and by email or postal mail.

Before taking this course, marketing was all about product and the promotion of that product. I took a marketing course during my undergrad about 7 years ago that emphasized the 4 P’s. Building a strategy around promoting a product and/or service seemed to be the most fundamental concept of marketing to me. My narrow thinking soon changed after going into the workforce and after taking this course.
