Mark Twain was an amazing writer who left an impact in American Literature forever. He was a very creative and out of the box thinker. His books were some of the most interesting and influential books in the United States. Not many writers have the capability of connecting with people like he did, Mark Twain was an amazing writer who left an impact in American Literature forever. Mark Twain was born to John and Jane Lampton in November 1835 in Florida, Missouri. He was their sixth child and they originally named him Samuel Langhorne Clemens. They later decided to move to Hannibal, Missouri. Where he received no actual education, but he loved to learn. At only eleven years old he took his first job as a typer in order to help his family because they had lost their father and needed more income.
Mark Twain had to drop out of school to help his family financially. He had to move out of town and traveled until he finally settled in Virginia City, Nevada. Where he than decided to try mining but failed. He than again moved to San Francisco where he worked as a journalist and lecturer for quite a while. But he decided to travel as much as he could and left that as well. Mark Twain later married to a woman named Olivia Livy Langdon. They then became blessed with their first child, who unfortunately was only alive for 19 months due to diphtheria. After finally getting over such a loss they managed to have three more daughters. And they lived a happy life, until Mark Twain died of a heart attack at the age of 74. But he did not leave this world until he had left a great impact in the United States.

...sby mistakes his right hand for his left and leads a charge in the wrong direction, surprising a Russian force which panics and causes a retreat of the Russian army, and with that securing the victory. But everything he did and all of the medals he had won were by luck.
The characters of this story would have to be the narrator, the clergyman, and of course Scortsby. The narrator helps in starting the story off, and the clergyman helps by explaining his point of view. Scortsby on the other hand, without talking, happened to be a very important part of this story. He is the main subject of the story from beginning to end.
Mark Twain's lasting legacy is seen as all of the literature that he gave to the world. Great things have came thanks to this mans way of thinking. And the impact that he has left behind is a great way to understand what writing is truly about.
