Swimming Through Life. I have always dreamed of working with ocean animals. I have loved everything about marine science since I was a little girl. Marine biology has been around for many many years. Marine biology teaches people the beauty of ocean life and how it works. Marine Biology has been around as early as 1200 BC. The beauty of the ocean is so great which is what brings people all around the world together to learn more and more about what the ocean has to offer. Marine biology is a hard but fun job because people learn more about the ocean and get to work with beautiful animals all the time. It brings joy, beauty and a pretty good pay grade. Another thing that is great about this field is that you get to tell other people about what you found and can have so much passion in doing so that they will feel the passion and get just as excited as you about the same thing. Being in this field is wonderful because people do not only get to enjoy the beauties of the ocean by themselves but they get to enjoy them with so many others that enjoy the passion all together. It helps people to grow stronger in their communication skills and cooperation skills because they are always working together to find out new things and how they may even be able to change some things. One of the reasons people do not think that being a Marine biologist is worth your time is, there is a lack of steady pay. A lot of it is reward, so if you expect to get a lot of money when starting off in the job do not be too surprised when it is not a lot. Another reason is that it is very competitive. When a job is competitive it makes it hard to find a steady position. It is almost impossible to find a job without any prior experience. One other reason is that a person could get hurt. When working with some animals they may become frustrated or scared and could accidentally hurt a person. Most of the time the animal is not trying to hurt them but it could really cause some damage. There are many cons to having this job so people have to think very hard about if they really want to be in this field or
